Was listening to an interview with Peter Rohde (Port footy operations manager) this arvo on 5aa.... Peter was saying that they had "serious" chats with Jamar about trying to lure him away from Melbourne.... They rate him very highly and wanted him to be their back-up ruckman behind Brogan.... Jamar decided to stay at Melbourne because "He would be guaranteed the No. 1 ruck position next season and didn't think it was a step forward to move to Port and be No. 2" I seriously think Jamar believes that he is in the best possible position to have a cracker year next year.... Melbourne may find it hard to keep him for 2011 if he does in fact have a great year and wants to move on.... But if he has a great year and can see the quality young brigade that is building around him at Melbourne, then he may in fact choose to stay.... I don't blame Mark at all for signing for only one year..... He is looking after No. 1..... Good on him.... As for Miller..... Hmmmm..... I just hope he seriously fixes his kicking for goal..... Other than that part of his game, I rate him pretty highly

Not sure if this has it's own thread, but thought it might as well have one.... It is strongly rumoured here in Adelaide that Chris Knights is on his way back to Victoria.... He still has a year to go on his contract, but he wants out.... It has also been rumoured (here on DL) that we are having a crack at him.... Thoughts??? I personally would be very happy to pick him up...... Booming leg and quality player

I have also heard talk here in Adelaide that Knights wants to go home to Victoria.... He was quite happy here in the city of wankers.... I mean Churches (did I say that out loud?), was living with his brother until his brother took a job in Darwin as a pilot.... I think it is common knowledge that he is looking to head back to Melbourne.... He still has a year to run on his contract, but that doesn't mean a lot these days.... Would be a pretty exciting addition I reckon....

Just another little bit of information my ears have picked up regarding young JT.... Driving home from work yesterday (not a servo this time, but a supermarket ) I was listening to 5aa.... They were speaking with Luke Norman ahead of Sunday's GF.... He was asked if he was aware that the Central's midfielders will most likely target Jack Trengove on Sunday and try and put him off his game early.... Luke's response "Well, I know the Centrals boys have bigger bodies, but I can assure you that I have not once seen Jack deviate off his line in a match! He will give as good as he gets. He's a great kid. Very professional and thrives on the contest. His head will be over the ball all day" Then Luke was asked by Stephen Rowe how he rates Jack up against all the other kids he has seen come through.... The response, "I'll give you one word Rowey.... Awesome.... That is all I have to say!" How [censored] off would people be if Melbourne overlooked JT??? I would go off my f'ing head I reckon!!
