  1. I quite like the thought as I know how much his family would despise seeing him in the red and blue
  2. Don't get to see as much footy now, very little of Essendon. I was in Australia for the Bombers game though and was annoyed that they dropped Melksham, so safe to say that the trade doesn't excite me. The WADA issue is why I personally wouldn't touch him. On the footy side, Roos has the runs on the board and Goodwin has worked with Melksham, so if such a trade happens, I will be reluctantly supportive.
  3. I remember him at Essendon. It's why (to much ridicule) I argued that we should have recruited him on the old Demonology
  4. Completely disagree, as mentioned WADA (it's a WADA not ASADA issue now) are appealing because they think they will win. I think it is realistic to expect at least a 12 month ban for the 34.
  5. First time I looked at this thread in a few weeks. I find it staggering that someone would write to Roos in mid-September about a potential trade. Huge waste of time. What is worse, this lowlife gets a personal response and then goes to post it on social media.
  6. Looks like it must have come down to him and Butcher. They chose Butcher. Alarm bells ringing
  7. Along these lines, there should be no more criticism of BP as a recruiter until everyone he recruited departs the club. We have all been unfair on our bro
  8. I understand where Steve and others are coming from, but keep in mind going we are dealing with Essendon, by far the biggest pr1cks to deal with in the league. If they think that it is us or them, they will hold out for a second round pick or threaten the PSD in the belief Melksham will get nervous on where he will go and stay with Essendon. As for WADA, I do consider it an issue, after the way the Bummers and the AFL have behaved in the whole saga, I would not be surprised to see WADA throw the book at all concerned
  9. Handy for last two years. Was putrid in his first year, almost had contract torn up, instead he was told to pull his finger out or he would never see the third year of the contract, which to his credit, he did
  10. Don't get why we would chase someone looking at a two year suspension (unless the clubs know something we don't, ie the players even if found guilty will get minimal punishment). Hell, I'd prefer us to rookie one of the Pies duo than any of the Dons 34
  11. WJD: most bombers have over last two or three years? 2913 and 2014 they finished the H&A season in 7th place. Wouldn't consider that disappointing from most of their players
  12. According to this, yes: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/the-names-of-the-34-essendon-players-have-been-released-then-removed-by-the-court-of-arbitration-for-sport/story-fni5f6kv-1227352382547
  13. I believe Injectiondon are expecting a top 5 pick for him
  14. Surprised it's not mentioned here, but was an article a day or two ago mentioning Christian is off to the States for an intensive 4 or 5 day rehab period with a doc who specialises in this and who helped Tex Walker
  15. Someone please bump the thread when we put him on the rookie list
  16. No Riley or Mitchie. Reckon Riley may very quickly become a favourite of many of us in no time.
  17. Stopped reading here
  18. Need a back up for Barry...
  19. I feel for us supporters that have to pay to watch us!
  20. You telling him to get in line!
  21. Are you for real? This thread talks about a bloke who stresses the important of 2nd and 3rd efforts and of our list you say only 3 players don't need him. 1 of whom is Sylvia! FMD, the blind love some people have for this lazy sod beggars believe. Never have I seen so many excuses made for someone whose biggest failings in his career have been a lack of 2nd and non existent third efforts, plus non-existent gut running.
