Signing the Needed ones
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Roos can't lose's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sign Sylvia now. Then trade him in October. -
No, because there is no kick, part b is the most relevant part: "(b) If the field Umpire is of the opinion that a Player has not Kicked the football back into play in accordance with Law 13.1, the field Umpire shall bounce the football on the centre of the Kick-Off Line to recommence play." Hell, it is exactly what I am saying, the ball was not kicked into the field of play in accordance to 13.1. There is no ambiguity, it should have been a ball up
-
Can you post part b. Does it not show my argument to be correct?
-
The rushed behind was IMO an incorrect ruling. By my understanding of the rules, he didn't tap it on his foot, but handballed. Where he handballed it to is completely irrelevant. The second he handballs rather than touch the foot, means it should be a bounce. Whoever claimed it was a correct decision in the game day thread, please let us know where I am wrong here?? Ed. ucanchoose it was, so do tell, how was it a correct decision??

Would love to know how many of these posters that are slagging off Harry's character have actually met him? I found he comes across as a bit of a [censored] through the media, but from people I trust, I hear that he is a top bloke, giving with his time and does a lot of charity work. How many here know any different or are cheap character assassinations on a potential player acceptable?

Swoop the board
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
According to some idiots we should just change topic names if we don't like them.... Sure I'm being anally retentive but eff me, hate over moderation and 'nice people' going and changing what I have written for no reason. Moderators are here to see rules are followed not to make changes to what people have said so that it is preferable to them. The again, why am I surprised, this joint had Rhino Richards as a moderator for years... -
Swoop the board
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
At least it wasn't misleading -
Nicho has the speed on Jordie, takes the game on but that's it. Jordie is a better kick (not that that's saying much), better at tackling, better handball / vision / decision maker (see previous brackets). He goes in and gets the hard ball without hesitating - have never seen him shirk a contest. Jordie is a long way a head of Nicho in my books. If we are ever to be a good team again, neither will be considered for selection

Swoop the board
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why would a moderator go and change the topic. "Swoop the board", is a bit different from "Swooper on the board" which is not true and is misleading. If you are going to change topic headings, make them accurate, put a question mark at the end of it, but news flash, you aren't editors (though with such misleading headings, ask the Hun for a job) so why change a topics thread heading for seemingly no reason. -

Cameron Ling, anyone?
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lingy was giving nothing away, though I tried. Asked straight out whether Jack had OP and if not what has happened to the pace that he had in his first two years and is no longer visible. Got nothing... -
Got quite excited to see Ling walking away from the Aami Center and past training. Even more so when he walked around the oval and watched training from near Richmond station end. Went and got a pic with him to make her Geelong relos jealous and couldn't help myself throwing in line about how this will send rumour mill into overdrive, he commented how he has recently started doing some work with Jack Trengove and Jack had asked him to come along to check out training. Spoke very highly of Jack. Would love to see him at the club a lot more!

The fact we are giving some free signage to Kaspersky says a great deal about just how badly we have treated people in the past. Appalling -

Think you'll find Dunn played more in defence last year. First time I have ever seen him being accused of being smart. -

Disagree, have seen a couple of games with Casey and have been pretty impressed with Taggert. Think he is closer to getting a game than you obviously do.
