there is only one pertinent stat...well two time ball in melbourne/opponents possession time ball in melb/opponents half put them together and you end up on the scoreboard its pretty much that simple

The idea of subdividing the transit system under the notion of "competition " was the start of the rot. How can there be competition with different elements servicing different destinations etc. It was flawed as a concept and buggered in delivery. Yes that was a Govt decision... a bad one. Myki , also a Govt introduction. The authority, any authority that actual RAN a system didn't want it as was full of problems from the get go..it too a govt decision not an PT one, they just have to wear it. these things occurred as result of 'agendas' not genuine progress

thing is DC...PT is and ought to be a Public Service provision. By all means run it properly but that often is at loggerheads with pennypinching and eyes only on the bottom line. To have allowed two incompatible train designs loose on once homogeneous network was ridiculous. Had there been ONE authority overseeing this wed have saved millions...Remember.. the franchise didnt buy the trains..just ordered them WE paid for them. One lot the crappy french Xtraps cant even run safely at theposted speeds allowed. Brilliant !! btw I have much respect for Ingénierie Française, but those xtraps were from the bargain basement what other city allows more than one body to oversee one element of infrastructure ?? f'n stupidity to the x !!
-
tell ya one thing...they never would have ordered trains that didnt work all over the whole system and thus requirer 100's of millions spent on resignalling and associated things. !! requires extra driver training and accreditations etc. be funny...if it wasnt

thanks for the reports fellas Havent got to one in the new Roos era yet . Something I do take from these reports is we seem at last to be learning a much better game of footy. I watched sessions over the years with the Preacher , Bails and Neeld , though in a way they seemed more Craig than Neeld and amongst all that I saw bugger all in terms of high level tactical footy. They were pedestrian in the main, going through all the 'good old ' stuff that yo did at training ( at lower levels ) without seemingly having any style or panache about them. Stock standard footy training and we were mercilessly pumbled over the years by better teams with better footy. Yeah sure we player 'beautiful flowing footy' for a while but we were easily shown up as lightweights once it got narky. i think it looks ( sounds ) like we're learning "AFL footy for winning" Looking forward to getting down to the paddock soon...seems like we may have caught up some -

Things are fine...the Beach relatively uncrowded Im not surprised you have troubles crossing the border.. As a previous inhabitant of Boganville I sense they feel much maligned. I mean not all wear Moccies......not since Crocs came on the scene and some aspirants even sport Haviannas knock offs....true...lol If you have continued difficulties escaping cast a message in a bottle, im sure the tide will bring it up our way. Im in Franga friday, maybe I can arrange for your freedom !!

My gut tells me around mid season infractions will go out. Asada seem to be finalising their position. This wont suit the league nor Messendon Spendiferous indeed. -

Which part about...WADA work to own timetable do most not get ? Tortoise and Hare stuff. They (Mess) will be got...but not when it suits them or others but when they (wada/asada) cross Ts and dot Is. -

Those that think that the establishment of a particular entity only takes the the locating of such and time, are obviously not students of history. -

Not quite so...it needed 2 teams in a familial market. That ought to have been an ACT team and Sydney. ACT has history with Footy.. ppl actually will watch and be interested. They dont take to it quite so passionately if the team isn't called Canberra though. That was the no -brainer. GWS is pushing shlt uphill....for ever. -
a late brekkie ( better get to burning it off now..lol )
