and his first salvo is at the wrong target...can't wait !!
-
You obviously havent been paying attention..lol.. They are not employees they have a commercial agreement with Essendon and its written on a standard AFL template contract. Keep up
-
Lovett-Murray and his manager, Peter Jess New candidates for Dumb and Dumber surely!!
-
Everyone's fault except EFC apparently !!
-
But Wells11....you misunderstand....Essendon are the VICTIMS !!! Just ask them
-
Am impressed by anyone who attempts weight loss around...Xmas !!
-
Leaking is the domain of the media or those that seek to gain in some manner. The AFL is runinng the Tribunal under direction by ASADA. Nothing we did , or didn't do, came under the auspices of any WADA code. Essendon and its proxies ( aka the Hun ) are running a campaign to influence. it will fail because those making the determinations are not the public, or essendon but ultimately WADA itself.
-
why ? The media arent running this, they only think they are.
-
I would have thought no dank, No Alavi, No Charters actually hurts Essendon, not ASADA. ASADA have their evidence. Essendon will find it hard to refute or offer anything else substantiable as their corroborating witnesses wont show up.
-
Maybe Gil the Dill is doing some due dill-igence........ getting the rest of the world ready for what we have always suspected is coming. Only Essendon die-hirds still think the future's bright !!!
-
No misere but maybe 9 No trumps , holding all the Aces

thats the point what many suppose might be the best ...wont be ,for all those reasons. Any assembly of team sheets is crystal balling if done now. Im simply suggesting some tempering and adjustment is required back to the real world...and it's effects.
-
jnr...I seriously suspect there's a much MUCH bigger game surrounding all of this and that the ASADA campaign is a player ( wittingly or otherwise ) in a larger game of chess being played by authorities with much more power and might than tribunals. I suspect its about waiting for the mice to properly enter traps !! just my hunch , nothing else

the problem atm in regard to BEST is who is ? What are the parameters many here are judging by ? reputations / track records / hope ?? Only how they actually are at the time of selection will play any part in rational team selection and make-up. Thats in respect to a REAL footy team...and not fantasy footy !!

Going back to the basic question of the OP I'm thinking the team that will take the paddock in the first month or so might not really look like the ones many of you are supposing. Roos is a fine ( read very good ) Engineer of teams. He knows you need to put a lot of work into the foundations etc and bring it all online gradually and with certainty. This is not a PR ( npi ) exercise. It's not about appeasing the masses , it's about building a unit that will work, and work and WORK. Like weight loss it's better to do some things methodically and steadily thus providing steady results which build on themselves. Do it this way and you can sustain your successes, indeed continue to build on them. The kids will be used sparingly to start I suggest. No point burning them up. Hogan is ripe to go, but hes not really a noobie. Theres a reason Roos likes a bit of seasoned. more mature talent on the list and id be looking to where he will use them. We now have a lot more wheat and lot less chaff to select from. Some players will select themselves and coaches are always looking for this. You want players to be hungry for the game not expecatant. Im not even going to bother to put names to paper just yet . I want to get a chance to view them at training...sense the 'vibe' ( lol ) Also to see how they start going in match trials etc. Then the NAB circus. See who is lifting. Roos could care less about the glamour of a teams line up its all about function ( as it ought to be ) He's not interested, nor I , in the sensational, just results from hard honest application. This can be sustained. No more flashy starts immolating in the pan !! ( sts)

So Charters is now officially as delusional as Dank. Not a complete surprise. Talk about trying to save one's arze !! Whole thing becomes more comical by the day , that is to say the supposed reality that EFC , Danks and now Charter ( and I suppose Alavi) is to be found at: 2-4 Dreaming Ave, Toonsville , Nuttyland.
-
victims my arze !! They KNEW they were embarking on 'something" that was intended to push things beyond. they ought to be banned from sport period but thats not possible........yet Ignorance is never an excuse....turning a blind eye is its first cousin !! Honestly...whats the first thing anyone with even the barest of intelligence is going to do when its suggested ...Hey...we're going to give you this, or something ...kinda like it YA"D GOOGLE IT !! and there for all the world is all the info you'd ever need....Even if you didnt even do the thing you are educated to do , by the AFL in terms of anything...is . Check the WADA code. How bloody hard is it !!!
-
Even if they were to get only 6 months , which I personally doubt , their (EFC ) season is stuffed anyway. As part of the ban they can have NO association with the club for purposes of training etc. Even if they (players) were to maintain their fitness theyd have NO match fitness and bugger all normal preseason effectively. The Premier will be the Premier

too bad our Maccas dont have that...bears a striking resemblance to food ( ahhhh that's be why !! )

Its an interesting exercise as in a very simple way its a huge element of the game we lacked, i.e ability to hurt the scoreboard. from : 20 - Chris Dawes youd think with a little less attention he might slot a handful more......25 16 - Dom Tyson with a lot more help and a little space........ maybe 20 or so 15 - James Frawley 14 - Cam Pedersen.. Probably wont get as many chances or time lets say 10 13 - Bernie Vince & Jack Watts .....Bernie should snag 15 or so.. Jack is a wild card here. if he played more forward in 15...and why not, we could use another proven fwd and if Watts was the 3rd fwd he might prove interesting , lets say 20 12 - Dean Kent...... we'll leave Kent at a dozen but he could be electric 10 - Rohan Bail..... See his opportunites slipping as to goals...but if he found 10 in a rubbish year maybe another 10 in a better year 9 - JKH. Could be good for a goal a game...so around 20 7 - Nathan Jones & Mark Jamar...lets say 15 between them and then comes the add ins.. Hogan...2 a game..say 45 Garlett... 25-35...call it 30 Truck..if he plays say half the games , I see at least a goal a game..so 11..call it an even dozen perhaps 12 i think Howe might chip in for a dozen also so that hypothetical tally comes to around 246 Looking at it another way we ought to be at least a 4-5 goal a game better side in 2015....or roughly 100 goals better.

Depends whether you want a hard at it inside mid or another outside link type Now thats not said as a slight on the Greek , just a simple , what do you want question. Two different styles there and it will come down to needs. Id actually think we'll get Brayshaw in, up and running , as quickly as possible as we're crying /bleeding for mids to get their own ball and then know what /how to do with it. The Toump is in a different queue perhaps
