  1. I'd agree with this essentially. For me the ruse is it's really an opinion piece jacketed as a clinical assessment.
  2. A problem for me is how easily Chip slides into the role of effectively blaming Asada/wada/CAS ..in reality anyone who's role it is to deal with such breaches. That's procedural. And hasn't been quickened by any or all of the "help" given by the accused.
  3. We read things differently .
  4. Le Grand a journalist. Give me a break. True journalists hold no favour and get their facts right. This clown often muddles his efforts with his own versions of events. Just another media wannabe. About as credentialed and believable as Slobbo. Fanboys like Le Nong. Robbo as well as even RoCo and Ralph have become but the mouthpieces for the Essendon bandwagon. We're they scrupulous and reported with unbiased integrity I would pay them the respect that would demand. Chup "as far as I'm aware" sums it up perfectly.
  5. Monsieur le Nong knows jacque sheet. He's just pushing out the old efc barrow like the good rent boy he is. He can't know the extent or contents of this hearing. He'guessing, extrapolating from what he's fed, flying the Windy flag. He'll be amongst a handful of the media who'll be shown up for the fIogs they are after this washes up.
  6. I know we all get carried away at times but I think we're actually seeing a decent team getting cobbled together and it's very much about players like Vanders. He's a footy player...not something else with athleticism who also can play footy....NO, he's a fair dinkum realfooty player and what a difference this is making. Gus is a footy player. Salem one also. Petracca is a gifted all rounder really but he moves and plays...footy.. How much easier to develop a plan/gamestyle when your players can intuitively play the game. Hogan and Jeffy are just naturals. There are others but Vanders is quite interesting. Very much looking forward to seeing a fitter and better prepared version taking the.field. I feel confident when he has the ball. He can play.
  7. I have no doubt the players would have been of little use to Asada at the tribunal given how it was orchestrated but seeing half a dozen EX bombers as well as Jab Watson were called before CAS and Young given free reign to ask away I think the idea of 'no compelling evidence'is erroneous. This has always been about sorting out the ducks....lining up the ducks....getting said ducks in the right order as well as flushing out a hidden/missing duck or two to complete the picture.. I think the dots are all joined now Quack quack quack and Merry Christmas. Well ...won't be that merry for 34 or so. Be a lot of lawyers smiling though I'm suspecting.
  8. If SEN was news paper I would even baulk at wrapping my f'n'cs with it, As to Monsieur le Nong......well He must be suffering from fanboy fatigue.
  9. 1 ...2 years less time served. No backdating 2... They will have the voluntary suspension time served deductedfrom the 2 years making for 19+1/2 months from announcement. That's August 2017before they can eventrain withclub again. 3... I think they will go afterHird and Co. 4. .either at the 'call" or shortly thereafter.
  10. expect it will show up here in due course Recent Decisions
  11. Dear oh dear. Folk still trying to apply 'consistency' to the AFL !!
  12. It's beginning to look a lot like Christma.
  13. And they want to bring him back to the fold. The mind boggles.
  14. It can be both, they aren't essentially mutually exclusive but I understand your tone. And since Evans what have we had ? Just the party line out of a procession of mouths. I just love their moral righteousness. "How good are we . we are taking all these new step to look after players" Its as laughable as it is sickening.
  15. Essendon and rational simply don't exist in the same time continuing.
  16. Macca...nearly EVERY bomber supporter to a one can't see what they have done wrong. They all feel persecuted. Quite frankly fcukthem all !! Really...they're all(nearly) delusional
  17. Because..... Where has reason or rationale ever entered this discussion with regards to Essendon supporters !
  18. but only a 'Little' bit !!
  19. had to look that up....Dland is so educational
  20. Earl you should be Knighted for services beyond the call.
  21. Something of a Clayton's admission I'd say OD.. Whatever it was the players didn't do it We did it ( but we're not saying what ) It might have been something naughty but then we don't know what we gave them "He remains, notwithstanding these events, one of the all-time greats of the club. I think in many respects it's unfortunate that the public focus has been so intently on him as the key person in all this, because the mistakes made were collective mistakes," Tanner said. "This was a team failing," he added Again let's continue with the fabrications. This was not a team failing its was a club failing a team. Hird was the creator of this whole debacle and should be the focus. They were mistakes predominantly made by a few individuals who then endangered a team by causing them also to make gross errors. Essendon just don't want to own the truth
  22. Have the new tram drivers decided on a different route.....or still continuing the journey with the same ol' clapped out jargon. Have they come out and denounced what took place ? I don't see it. I do see different faces plying the "party" line. Ding ding....all aboard to WindyHill. The day someone in charge at Essendon comes out with " we really did a bad thing and we must bear the consequences ,learn and move on" is when I'll believe something has changed.
