Reality is ALL forwards struggle if supply dodgy. Conversely....if supply not so bad and improving then an experienced capable fwd is a goldmine.

I understand the ideas behind drafting mids ..or anyone.. Thats a strategy....for later.. as such. At some point in ascending you have to switch tracks ( in my view ) and start embellishing the NOW. It might not be Gunston , it's just an example but I firmly believe that we have to stop 'card collecting ' now and start playing the cards we have with a view to actually winning something. There are player-types you just or rather should grab when they become available. Picks are just currency..thats all

Bfre...think about it for a moment though. One of our biggest problems going forward is actually spotting up a lead. Its bombs away baby. Silly stuff really. Nothing wrong in my book hitting up a bloke 35-40 out who CAN kick. It is the option we dont have much in the way of currently.. Gunston is a 50 goal a season forward... we're not really over endowed with them.

Id concur. His first half all but single handedly ( or rather... single footedly ) paved a way for a loss. His second half, whilst being his best was just adequate ( look it up folks ). Commensurate with doing a job , neither exceptional nor poorly. ( Yes arguably an improvement ) No idea what some fawn over. Has still a long way to go.

Id say the maggoting was near 50/50 Poor decisions often going either way.
