  1. we're just not quick enough, even when we get a free, to get up off the ground and get the ball moving whilst there should ostensibly be some space.
  2. stupid, stupid kick by pedersen
  3. unbelievable - free kicks are 6 apiece!
  4. Watts got hurt cos he wasn't prepared to go hard at the ball.
  5. Wasted opportunities by Riley and JMc2.0. Another outstanding roved goal from Tyson - reminds me so much of Simon Black.
  6. Some fantastic unrewarded tackling.
  7. Great to see Tappy and Blease working hard.
  8. scully's last possession cost gws a potential draw. high up and under that went nowhere. shocking. gimme shiel, kelly, tomlinson, etc., etc. any day of the week. interesting to see patton also being deployed in the ruck at stages. looked about as happy being thrust into the role as dawes did when figgy used him in the same forward / ruck role at the pies
  9. That sounds awfully convoluted. I just think that if players want free agency they need to be willing to accept trade free for all - no more negotiating with players, but if clubs agree to a trade then it's done. Sign-and-trade introduction is a must.
  10. i can't believe we'd recruit a free agent this year that would impact upon our compensation for frawley leaving.
  11. If we can get Cameron for one early pick, do it. But I imagine this could be about shaking the KPP tree and seeing which midfield-shaped apples fall down...
  12. That's old news. God Barrett is a turd.
  13. Gold Coast, but all the whispers point to Geelong.
  14. yup, utterly depressing. let's compare us to another team that's been down for a long, long time... the tigers ELITE MID: martin, cotchin MID ROTATION: deledio, ellis, petterd, thomas, miles, conca, vlastuin POSITIONAL ROLE PLAYER: grigg, riewoldt, shane edwards, houli, rance, maris, chaplin, vickery, morris --- POTENTIAL AFL CALIBRE: dylan grimes, astbury, griffiths, lennon, mcdonaugh, gordon, lloyd NOT GOOD ENOUGH / RETIRING: newman, knights, hampson, aaron edwards, king, stephenson, foley, banfield MORE INFO REQUIRED: dea, batchelor, helbig, mcintosh, mcbean, elton, arnot, o'hanlon, williams, darrou a surprisingly high amount i'd put in the nqr category. still more midfield depth than us, and more capable role players too.
  15. Port Adelaide ELITE MID: Boak MID ROTATION: Ebert, Hartlett, Robbie Gray, Wines, Kornes, White, Wingard, Polec, Cassisi POSITIONAL ROLE PLAYER: Broadbent, Monfries, Trengove, O'Shea, Stewart, Lobbe, Impey, Carlisle, Schultz, Pittard, Hombsch, Westhoff, Young, Jonas, Logan --- POTENTIAL AFL CALIBRE: Heath, Stevenson, Shaw, Moore, Colquhoun, Sam Gray, Mitchell NOT GOOD ENOUGH: Hitchcock, Neade, Redden, Ah Chee, Renouf MORE INFO REQUIRED: Butcher, Clurey, Harvey, Byrne-Jones, Newton, Amon, Flynn, Russell they bat deeeeeeeeeep in the middle. both broadbent and monfries could just as easily be listed as midfield rotation. they have a lot of what i'd consider good role players too.
  16. Completely disagree with Jack and McVeigh not being elite afl mids. Parker certainly has been this year. I'll do Port.
  17. Gotta pick up players who can use the ball. We need to nail our late picks too - too often of late they've been good battlers but lacking in required ability to use the ball. The general feeling seems to be that this draft is a bit light on, in terms of quality of players and depth?
