  1. naughton would be great - he'd fit right in with some of his misses from directly in front
  2. tiggas look certain to get 8th spot will neck tatts be back for finals?
  3. it's often quoted in the media - and by the club in our dark days as a 'good news story' - and it is based on that nielsen / roy morgan data that's guesstimated annunally to membership ratio https://www.roymorgan.com/findings/9029-afl-supporter-ladder-april-2022-202207260047 work out the ratios of supporters: members and we rank fairly high
  4. 2a we are outnumbered virtually every game we play as we have one of the smallest supporter bases and the highest conversion of supporter: member of the actual clubs, rather than the make-believe franchises
  5. i was afl members too i think yr split is about right the filth has probably 5x more supporters than us, not to mention 40k odd more members with the way they're playing at the moment, how they're not having 80k of their 110k membership base turn up every week i don't know the rotten [censored] are very, very good
  6. 6: oliver 5: gawn 4: oliver 3: petracca 2: salem 1: brayshaw
  7. they have one trick - they win
  8. OUT: Sparrow, Melksham IN: Harmes, JVR
  9. the cold snap circa 3pm will have cruelled the crowd by at least 10k you would think theatregoers and the like won't brave the cold
  10. it's gonna be a wet slog
  11. us? gc17? peptides? footscray? puddy tatts pear? bloods bears? meth coke? i reckon a slew of 'who knows' games this week
  12. No Kynan Brown in yr prospective 2023 first round, @IvanBartul13?
  13. given that they're trying to emulate our 2021 set-up it would not surprise me if zurhaar - another wa boy out of contract - was a key target sideshow bob = tabener fritsh = zurhaar gawn / jackson = darcy / dog anb = switkowski [fwiw he is really missed in their forward structure last few rounds] pickett = walters spargo = schultz the one they really lack if lobb goes is a plugger mac type as that gut runner up to the logos as a chf they're basically set up behind the ball very, very similarly to us (three talls, a host of mediums, no genuine lockdown defender) and if fyfe can ever get back to full fitness they have a similar midfield set-up too
  14. when are we signing up rm williams??
  15. anything over 70k is massive in the post-covid era would love to see us top the 'modern' queen's birthday crowd, which is 83.5k in 2018 this year's big freeze total was 76k above that? happy days
  16. also, fwiw, i wasn't referencing a failure to win at the mcg, more so a failure to get chains of ball movement happening to the same degree that we seem to be able to do so at perth stadium
  17. I think the devil horns has to do with the way we set up defensively at stoppages Sparrow did it after his long bomb goal in the premiership and Oliver and Petracca went ‘yeah, nah’ and bang bang bang ensued
  18. Why do we seemingly struggle to move the ball at the MCG compared to the (near) identical Perth stadium?
  19. had a convo with a cats supporting workmate the other week - he sais as ecstatic as he's been with the last decade of the cats, he'd trade their 75% or so winning ratio for a premiership any day of the week
  20. well, if you look at their recruiting since they lost won a premiership, they've used free agency brilliantly to top up or force a trade for key players who are free agents, and then picked the eyes out of trades etc. been a very good wheeler and dealer
  21. best key forward we've had since neitz
  22. not tall? 203cm is pretty big
  23. it's like people forget that on one knee grundy basically kickstarted the filth's season vs the peptides on anzac day - he was incredible in that game while clearly injured that said...wouldn't want to pay anything close to $1m a year for the next five to him i have faith in our footy dept to get it 'right'
