Thirty odd years ago we staged a memorable comeback at Kardinia Park. Generally known as the “Templeton Game” stomped all over the Cats in the final term after trailing by 6 goals at quarter time. Lived near one R Flower sports shop and ventured in on the Monday. The little champ was asking me about the atmosphere among the few Melbourne supporters at the ground - so humble.

Was there. Wet day. Muddy. Rain. Thumped them. Met G Swan years later - staggered anyone in the world remembered his eight that day when I mentioned it to him. Time flies.

Walk from South wharf station to Gabba. No need for bus. BTW, your entry ticket also covers rail travel. Not sure about tram - I chanced it anyway.
