It's a real puzzle to me this problem of multi generational failure . It really seems like a curse . Different coaches players , management , they just can't fight this rancid malaise that has condemned us to so much misery for so long .

I know it's been mentioned before, but. The mcDonalds are horrendous ! Absolutely bloody useless ! And is there any chance of Frost being able show some coolness under fire . He plays like Forrest Gump. I thought this was a home game for us. It seemed that most of the crowd were Crow fans

The silver lining to this miserable season is the experience going into our reserves, so many pressganged into battle earlier than expected and getting great learnings ( sorry about that cliche) Goodwin speak !

I'm not one that blames the umps usually , but the last quarter the umps cost us 3 goals . Sure we stuffed up,many times in front of goal and we lost it there , but what about the unrealistic attempt to mark that was waved away that led to Kennedy goaling , the blatant handball seen by every viewer in the world , goal , then Smith sling tackle and probably out injured next,week that cost us a goal , 3 dead set goals gifted to the Eagles . Melbourne football club is a business where I pay $1200 for my wife and I per annum . They are dishing up a foul product right now and it's on them if the AFL cuts there prime time slots ,not the fans fault . another big deal is the trouble getting into town from where I live with train service mayhem and road works right and left and finally get there and have to watch a match the quality of 2013... where is the fun in that ? I went on Wednesday night and saw an improvement until midway through the third when they came unravelled when the Tigers put their foot on our throats but obviously that's going to happen with a bunch of stand ins from the Casey side just doing th,e best they can until our genuine first teamers return from various injuries . But we are I believe in a perfect storm with problems on many fronts . Game plan , coaching , injuries , recuperating from operations . I think management knew all along that this season was going to be a bust and was going to be leap backwards .

I Turned up and noticed that Dee supporters stayed away in droves . I will say that I'm afraid that the start Melbourne is having has lost quite a number of fans . They are truly atrocious. Hoping against hope the team pulls its finger out very soon or they won't be hitting membership targets next season .

I can only hope that our currant coaching staff can turn it around . I do appreciate the different circumstances re 2006 to this slump , it's just the fear of many that we have , have stalled in their development and the coaching staff haven't got the know how to fix it

Prevous to last season in the finals our last one before that was 2006 and we died in the off season and we were reading the same depressing stuff as now where we appear to have died in the off season . History repeating and I'm thinking that I can't face yet another rebuild . I'm too old that I now fear , no, convinced I will never see another Premiership by our mob. Perhaps those 6 premierships back in the fifties and sixties was all she wrote . But hey , we were great then . But now if I may would like to add a comment about the rule changes this season . I feel the runner restricted rule has really worked against us. Whatever changes were made in our structures hadn't been ingrained enough for us to cope without those runners impressing on us on field , whether our players are just plain dim and not grasp it at all or it maybe just too complicated . Whatever , this rule really helps those teams better drilled than ours. It really has served those more experienced teams than ours like Geelong who admire but hate ! Can this affect the players who probably hold the record for fumbles in a game? They appear to play like double amputees with all due respect . And if there is any truth in the whispers of disunity in the camp causing disharmony then for Christs sake grow up and start being professional about your jobs and do what you are paid to do . Remember it's not about me , it's about we .. I am hoping that it's all about the umpteen medical Operations our team had , and didn't have an adequate pre-season , but it could be wishful thinking . I purchased an AFL footy tour to Alice Springs last week to see us v Eagles and I only hope this season will improve by then .

I would say that the addition of Brett Ratten to the Saints coaching panel has worked wonders for them. He was a line coach for us back in 2011 I think and we should have got him t succeed Paul Roos
