  1. Dean Bailey is not at all worried about the MFC in all of this. DB is worried only about DB. Stand up guy? Losing power player more like.
  2. "Barrett has got his info via the club and it appears to me to have been supplied strategically". Would you please expand on this DD? Not sure I understand the angle.
  3. "AFL.com.au believes the investigating officers have been applying massive pressure on some witnesses to make admissions on certain incidents, or potentially face heavy sanctions." Won't stand up in court. Take it there.
  4. Any chance you could publish facts instead of speculation? Who are your sources?
  5. Shouldn't be. That's Misson's area.
  6. Yep Gysberts would be about 9 on the depth chart while Pederson probably fits in at about 3 or 4.
  7. Reckon that might have been sarcastic Nasher ???? TBH I'm not sure.
  8. 100% right foot kicks in the highlights package - will need to go the other side at the higher level. His break to space is consistently a "dink to the right" (putting himself on his right foot). That will be figured out very quickly at the higher level where they will man up that side forcing him inwards. So he is miles from a finished product imo. That said, he weights his (right foot) kicks extremely well and definitely has compsoure to find the target. Tackles we saw were good. Looks like a link up player (does he "go" inside as well?) and can't tell about his pace (cause its only SANFL). Runs and carries the ball a bit like a young James McDonald. Nice rookie prospect.
  9. I'm not sure I get the counter argument here. We produce a profit by legally/morally moving things around to present our performance in the best possible light. In turn the result presents our club as well run business in a horror year. We will always need to attract new revenue streams (sponsorship, grants, relationships etc) to continue to grow (and hopefully keep up). If we did the opposite, and presented the results in their worst possible light (probably meaning a significant loss), how would that help attract new revenue streams? Surely people want to attach their brand to successful AND well run clubs. Don't they?
  10. Shane Mattiske is NRL CEO caretaker. The Cowboy you refer to is John Grant, Commission Chairman, who is Mike F's equivalent. Loves the media spotlight and loves the hospitality circuit. He is very bad news for RL indeed.
  11. Even in this announcement she takes time to have another crack at the MFC???? Being investigated for forfeiting games? She is sailing pretty close to the wind here and will pay a decent price if/when we are found to have no case to answer. Like a dog with a bone.
  12. The new ruck rules really favour the big athletes with a great vertical leap (so its entirely possible that Jamar will become less influential IMO). I can see the second ruck getting increased workload next year so its crucial we have a big second ruckman. In light of this, is Pederson big enough at only 193cm to share ruck duties?
  13. Yeah like the new skin. No to figure out that issue with posting (just noticed I am having the issue). Well done and thanks.
  14. Hannabal = Ben Hur
  15. Peter Yagmoor (just delisted by Collingwood). I watched him live at Blacktown during last years NAB Cup and he was really good as a small defender. He won shedloads of ball, is a good user of the pill and appears to be a good athlete. I reckon Collingwood will regret delisting him. That is all.
  16. Fantastic reporting - thanks so much guys. Footnote: This is a minor irritant but pursuant to another thread, it's Clark and Missen (not Clarke and Mission).
  17. Posted elsewhere. My friend (who I'd say is an insider at Richmond) seriously doubts whether Martin will still be in the system after his contract expires. On another note, it seems that Diazapan mixed with Coca Cola or the like is seriously addictive. Hillbilly heroin (OxyContin) is killing three young people every day now in the USA and its not (ostensibly) illegal. Not yet epidemic, but on that pathway.
  18. Hell no to Garlett. By the by, insiders at Richmond are telling me they wouldn't be surprised if D Martin was no longer in the AFL system in 2014.
  19. Will have a break out year IMO. Pace issue will resolve (injury permitting) with less weight/loading and he has spent a year added crucial defensive dimensions. He covers the ground well, is a ball winner, spreads pretty well and is good overhead for his size. This year he will get help in the middle and might even get to rest forward occassionally (probably a must if interchange restrictions are on the way). 12 brownlow votes = break even.
  20. Dusty may or may not make it through the end of the year as an AFL player. But he will only do so if he moves back in with Gary March. Otherwise, even given the traitor, our picks may yet prove smart.
  21. Was "worth a crack" intended? Hell no.
  22. Full pre-season #2, approaching the right age for a tall, agree he should play on a wing until (if) he gets much bigger. I expect him to be top 8 in the B&F this year in a team that finishes in the middle of the ladder (or just above).
  23. I think it would be wise to now advise all media outlets, via recorded means (email, letter, etc) that we intend to defend our club's integrity in this matter. Viz" Please resort to printing poven factual information. And make sure that the headlines, and bylines, refer directly to facual information. Or do not report any content in association with our clubs's name at all". Proof becomes our point of attack.
  24. C'mon Biffo. Surely they're both correct?
  25. You could have gone him for the use of "failings" DC. Its either "failure" or "various failures". But let's not nit pick huh?
