Captain for the Day: Max Gawn
As others have said, Jones and Viney need the run at Casey more than the photo op. Max is next in line on the leadership ladder.

Captain for the Day: Max Gawn
Max is at the AFL Captains Day so i assume he wont be training either.

Next training?
Closed session tomorrow morning at Casey from what I gather.

Round 1 Team
Someone should be held account for this. I understand the desire to play with 22 but the fact that both Smith and Fritsch had to play on while injured in a JLT match, which could jeopardize their start to the season is a huge stuff up IMO.

I agree on Jones too. I want to see him win a flag and get to 300 games. I reckon we have to win it in 2019 otherwise he won’t be a part of it. 300 games could also be a bridge too far.

I expect that Jordan’s year will be similar to Bernie’s this year. Slowly phased out of the Dees team and into Casey by the end of the year. Retired at the end of the year.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Culture killer?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I’ve heard the exact same thing from a very reliable source. It may be the same source, but there was seemingly something not right there.

I’d love to see Steven May in the 27 Sean Wight, Ingo, Rivers.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
This is what is being said in the industry. I have it from a very reliable source (list manager at another club).

I wonder if the deal will be a downgrade of a pick or picks, as it seems to me we are still going to need a couple more picks to fill the list.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I have some well placed contacts. This is as close to the truth as I’ve heard. Multiple clubs, player managers, and players are now impacted by Freo’s decision. Fremantle’s reputation is shredded.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
If it all goes pear shaped and the deal doesn’t get done, i’d seriously have Jesse training with the backline over summer with the look for him to playing FB or CHB. May is a free agent next year look to get him then.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
We were never going to get 5 & 6 for Hogan. We might now get 5 & 11. 11 To be on traded for May. 5 we can take to the draft or deal with Adelaide for 13 and 21 or similar.

Gold Coast must have academy kids they want the picks for next year. Good result for both parties.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
I’d guess it will go something like Preuss and pick 31 for Tyson and 46 or 54.

Surely in this instance a medical would have to come from an independent 3rd party and not from the buyers doctor. I couldn’t see any reason why the Fremantle doctor would cast doubt on Jesse’s injury that would tip the balance of the trade in Fremantle’s favour. ???

Farewell Jesse Hogan
There is a lot of posturing going on.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I know this has been on the cards. But it makes me sad.

Look Port or Adelaide to package up picks to move up the draft to try to get the gun SA talent. For example Brisbane to take 9/10 and 27/28 from Port for Pick 5. In an ideal world Pick 10 then goes to Freo for Neale. Freo then have 5 and 10. We take both for Hogan. 10 goes to GC for May we keep 5. Hogan cost us 3 and 13. He is arguably the best key forward under 23 years old. This is what we should be aiming for.
