From a neutral point of view I say what you’re saying clearly. From our point of view, come on man!! The guy has spent nearly his whole career in rebuilds. He deserves to be part of something different at this stage of his career than to up sticks and be part of another one. I know footy clubs should be looking through the windshield rather than in the rear view mirror but I just don’t think we’re st that point yet with Jones. Not to mention I’m pretty selfish and want him to be a 1 club player.

Great performance. We were due a nice relaxing day at the footy I think! Right from the get go the intensity was up, we may not have been super clean but that got fixed up pretty quickly. It doesn’t matter who you play there is always stuff you can take out of a 90 odd point win. I think the big thing for me was that even though we had lulls in the game we never let a massive run on of goals occur. A lot of this could have been down to Gold Coast being inept but I thought it was a good sign. Great to see Vanders back, looked a bit rusty of course but held his own out there. Salem played his most impressive game this season was bang on with every disposal. Clarry can’t be beat and Dom Tyson has hit his straps in the inside. Good team performance this one. Bummed about the Smith injury so stretched in that area. Would have liked him handy for Buddy as a second option but that’s toast now. Good job Dees, did what we had to do. But the real stuff is next week.

Bit of a lapse but didn't lose the quarter so I'll take it. Need a strong finish!

It’s infuriating watching a guy turn around to kick round the body on a 45 degree angle. Not once does it ever fill me with confidence.

I really really hope the Lions put North to the sword and kill that one off! I would always be barracking for Sydney in this matchup but very torn this time.

I am pretty happy that there are others who think like this and that I’m not crazy. Over the years I’ve sort of built up the idea that a 60 point lead is the mental breaking point for the opposition so that almost always garuantees a win (unless the wise guys out there want to cite that Bombers and Roos match in 2001). a 30 point lead at 3 qtr time is usually great but would want to kick that first of the last quarter or at least juice the first 5 minutes and then kick one. A 3 goal lead has basically meant nothing to me. Another crazy mathematician here.
