  1. Yeah I remember that one. Joined around the same time.

There's basket cases and there's basket cases. We were coming from a very long way back. It was an amazing appointment at the time and it is an amazing appointment now. He started the ball rolling. Thanks Roosey!
  3. Unfortunately did not experience this drama live, was in London at the time and this was pre smartphones/streaming/social media. Ended up just reading the result in an internet cafe 2 days later.

Not a recent experience but I think this is a good place for this. At the QBH game a Collingwood friend of mine (or rather the wife of very good Collingwood friend) started hazing me in our whatsapp group before the game with “what’s that sh*t you’re wearing?” referring to my MFC jumper in a selfie I took. She went on to post selfies of her and her husband in their cute Collingwood jumpers with the caption ‘correct team’. I’ve had many years of this kind of excrement being thrown my way and never batted an eyelid, but for some reason this one has stuck in in my craw all year and I have no idea why. It could be the Collingwood factor, it could be that copping this crap was easier when we were garbage and that now we are relevant it’s different, it could be that she’s one of these people who didn’t know what Collingwood was 5 years ago before she met her hubby and has since embraced them and made out like she knows everything. I really don’t know but I will be quite glad if nubs like this now have a better idea of who we are.
  7. One of the saddest jokes of a presser I've ever seen. At the time I thought he was about to cry, but later on and after watching Open Mike he always looks like that.
  8. Honestly, I would like to see some form of action. If Hogan is staying, I'd like to see us extend his contract in the off season or at least very early next year. I'm really not keen on having a 2019 of distraction, rumours and innuendo every second week. I don't believe in this day and age you have the luxury to just let the player have as much time as they need and dally on things. I know he's a great guy, has been through a lot loyal but at the end of the day it's a business, and if we don't make business decisions we will lose out.
  9. Experience isn't everything but I think it will count for something. Finals is a different ball game after all.
  10. It's a good position to have it, especially for promoting the podcast. Definitely wouldn't change that. It's a very minor issue really, and from a device side of things it's only when I use my Ipad.
  11. I reckon we might surprise people with the noise tomorrow.

Yeah I like this idea, gives the crowd a chance to cheer in solo as they run through the banner before hearing the song.
  13. I've definitely found it easy to hit the play button when refreshing the page and scrolling down.

I just feel like Spurs were one class signing away from being genuine contenders. Kane, Eriksen and Alli are world class but you just feel they needed one more real x-factor to take them to the next level. Someone like Anthony Martial would give them a real edge but of course they are unlikely to spend. I still think they are in decent shape though. Much better than United!

It’s been a while since Mick Molloy was funny, wouldn’t worry too much about it mate.

    Catching up on it now.
  18. I’d definitely listen to his show if I had the chance.
  19. I have just watched this ‘episode’ of Open Mike. Firstly, I am ok. I think we need to get down to the nitty gritty of all this and strip back some of the bull [censored]. This man said that on taking the job he was told a lot of older players would be moved on and essentially cited Schwab for this (vaguely), I’m staggered that the CEO had so much input into the list management and find it very weird that the coach had so little say in who he wanted moving forward. I’m also a bit surprised every time someone mentioned that our list needed a complete overhaul on the back of a season where some tipped us to play finals. Lastly on that point I can’t belie e there are people here falling for this and think people like Lyon we’re behind this orchestrated plan with the list. When asked if Lyon got Neeld the job he had no idea about any of that so I’m pretty satisfied he didn’t know anything about Lyon’s input. It’s time to stop blaming Lyon for the downfall of our club during that period when in reality his contribution ended when the coach was hired look to the people who oversaw that period. His Essendon time sounds like a total joke. I’m sure the guy is a nice man but he couldn’t coach his way out of a paper bag. That men behind the ball nonsense I remember hearing after one of the thrashings in Adelaide. It stank then and it stinks now.
  20. Sporting Globe is always fun. Make the most of the 20% discount if you're a member.
  21. Wow, there goes the one off theory.
  22. I like the idea of Preuss but can't see it happening. Surely Geelong is knocking the door down?
  23. Oh right so its not what I pictured where it might be 400 pages and 370 blank pages for vomit catchment and readers to draw pictures of Neeld with stink lines?
