I'd hardly call him a 'bit-part player'. It can definitely be lost at selection if Smith stinks.

On my short walk around the block just then I couldn't stop thinking about this. It doesn't gel with me at all. It would be devastating to lose this at the selection table. I think Smith could be good in time but he's a liability for this game with 3 dangerous small forwards. Fritsch has not been great the last two games I admit that. He offers something that few others in the team have though, hard to describe it but it's the ability to use it consistently. If Smith has to come in as an extra tall then it has to be Tyson out for me. He looks back to his old 'lost on the outside mid' self. Fritsch back to the wing and Smith back.

Ready to spew. If Smith comes in it should be for Tyson, if at all.

I agree Fritsch would be better for that wing spot right now. Being pushed out of his preferred inside spot has had a predictable effect really. He was not terrible though and should survive unless Smith is coming in.

Would kill to be there. Something nice did just happen though, my team leader was just heading out to a site and called me to say he was driving down Punt Rd past our training. Said he could see Max lining up for goal and then I could hear him yell out the window "Go Maxy!". Was a nice gesture, not bad for a Swans fan!
