  1. A necessary change more than a good one in my view. His 1v1 and intercepting ability will be very welcome down back again but I do wonder how many people would have been calling for this move this time last year. Up forward he was clearly the best contested mark we have and along with JVR and Melksham playing the space cleaning role he looked like your good old fashioned key forward. Last year was tough, he clearly struggled early on with his foot. Lisfranc injuries are no laughing matter. I think it is time to send him back again but I hope this isn't the last time we see him as a forward.
  2. Wonder if Sharp could realistically be in the mix come round 1? Would there be any reason why someone like Billings would be clearly ahead of him?

One for the old schoolers this morning as Newcastle and Liverpool finished 3-3. Historically these two sides don't do boring games! Arsenal, City and Chelsea all winning so with only 14 games played the lead at the top isn't as big as it seems. A lot can happen in December.

He very well could Gorg but at 28 y.o it can be tough for a RB especially once those big injuries kick in. I'm sure he'll still provide great value, but his season last year was truly something else. I'm actually not always a fan of having a sole RB and especially not in the offense we play. I really prefer a 70-30 ratio with someone like Mason predominately doing the 'meat grinding' runs. Ever since CMC came here Kyle gives him 20-25 hand-offs a game. He's someone who likes to take his Ferrari off road driving..
  5. Yeah I don't get a go home feeling from Judd at all from interviews. Things can obviously change but he seems to like the city, will be alert but not alarmed.

This week absolutely stinks. Here goes: Jaguars, Bills, Bengals.

I've still got the Cards winning it but wouldn't rule you guys out.

Thankfully PCL and no surgery but with bad achilles now as well I'd say we've seen the best of CMC. Will be a big ask to hit those heights again and really the coach needs to take some responsibility for overusing him. Incidentally Jordan Mason the no.2 is out of the season as well.

Gorg is making a Brisbane Lions type of comeback this season.
  10. That would explain not going for Riak Andrew with a bid
  11. Get well soon dearest Deever.

Has there ever been a player in history where the colours did not look good on them?

    Haha nice job!
  14. Don't want to jump the gun but Duke, Langford and Lindsay should play well over 100 games.

Oh yeah. I felt for him, ridiculous error but I did feel for him. There were so many things they could have done in that last 30 seconds, to think they couldn't even get a shot at the sticks is embarrassing.

It's going well for the moment, Slot has kept a lot of the Klopp philosophy and the high presses are still there with everyone stepping up and doing their bit. I love the way he uses Endo and brings him on late with a lead for some solidarity. However the squad is pretty thin and the real test will be when we start picking up a few injuries. I do see some points being dropped in that scenario unless there is a dream run. The contract talk of Salah, Alexander-Arnold and VVD will start to intensify as we go into December so how much of a distraction that turns out to be will factor in as well. Will see where things sit at the new year. The game against City this week will tell a lot!

    Unbelievable. Garbage coaching.
  18. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Trent develops. As a mid he's your run and gun type and doesn't bring much nonsense. Lots to like about his future.

Fair enough, I do appreciate your insight.
  20. Come on mate, it's off season. Save the fire for the season and gameday threads!
  21. That's right. There's a forward spot up for grabs and someone needs to reach for the brass ring. I've barely seen or heard a thing about this guy but I'm hoping he's in the mold of someone like Tim 'Bull' Smith and just competes and competes till they have to go home.
  22. Thank you for this Jack. It gets harder and harder to find a full draft list quickly online.
  23. Wouldn't hurt! Well, only the Pies..

@Wilson7 On behalf of DL thanks for being among the first to use the new thumbs down feature. I'm genuinely interested to hear your side and on why you disagree. From where I sit there's an awful lot of spruiking going on and it seems to be less about Kalani, more than happy to hear other sides though.
  25. 42 is a great number for him, I've always said that and being saying it for years..
