  1. Really impressed me in that Grand Final. Obviously a big jump to AFL for a ruckman but could be worth inviting to train over Summer?
  2. Agree he needs a hitout but it can't be at Casey. Would be great if this bloopy game was in 2 weeks.
  3. I don't know enough on the workings of this to openly criticise club medical staff but I think it's beyond that now. The decision may well need to be taken out of player and club's hands as it is a conflict of interest and it doesn't matter if 9 times out of 10 they are doing the right thing because just 1 time is too many. As I said I'm not a doctor but I really don't know in what world they thought it wasn't necessary to perform a SCAT5 test on Aliir. How can you go through all the checks and deem him ok to continue when the test itself can't be done in less than 10 minutes? (Please feel free to correct me if facts aren't straight).
  4. Meet the robots
  5. Someone give me a knife to cut through all this tostesterone! Deliberate misspell, don't call police.
  6. Amazing career. One of the greatest spearheads the game has ever seen and we're all better for having seen him play.
  7. Absolutely spot on. His ability to read the ball in flight and position himself is better than any forward on our list and close to best on our list in general. On top of that his strength is underrated and he doesn't get bodied off it or out of position as much as some others we've tried there. His kicking for goal like JVR is of someone who doesn't overcomplicate things and kicks through the ball naturally. The hope is that they don't start introducing little aspects to their routine that can stuff it all up. I get vibes of T-mac half way through 2017 when he went forward. We all know Grimes' MO but with Petty marking everything that came his way you have no choice but to defend 1v1. A great game against quality opposition and as much as I dearly wanted to give Gawn 6 votes I gave Petty the nod for this reason, 10 marks with 7 inside 50 and 4 contested, it's very darn impressive.
  8. Yeah true but ah well, they can spend their time thinking about about how to deal with friends giving them stick about the finals win drought for another year.
  9. His second half was sensational. He's the type of player that doesn't get fazed if he loses a one on one contest. He can put it behind him and move on to the next one easily whereas it lingers with some other players. He's got the head for AFL footy.
  10. That's the flexibility Smith gives you! Love having him as the sub.
  11. Oh boy they don't make cups big enough to drink all these up!
  12. Both had their knees shot out as well! Totally agree though a pleasure to have both at our club. Great post Monbon!
  13. I'm more along the lines of managing ruck minutes for Max rather than resting entirely. Possibly mid minutes for Viney as well. If we must go the resting route then it's probably 1-2 players max but I'm not super keen. I do think you can flirt with form and the mix too much and that would be dumb but I do see the side where some of these guys could use a little chop out. All in all I lean towards letting it ride and managing minutes in game as much as possible.
  14. I would have thought so. Didn't feel like Jordon took the scruff of the neck on this game.
  15. Realistically how far off is AMW from getting a game? Any chance before the year is out? There's an intent about this guy that I really like.
  16. Great call!
  17. They've horne-swoggled themselves good. I'll shut the door behind me..
  18. He's like a fine motorcycle.
  19. Totally agree, think English is very deserving of it this year and has taken his game to another level.
  20. Exactly. Plenty of movement and making defenders accountable.
  21. It was such an end of show closing click bait bit. Love how they don't mention the other free kick of having to go down to Geelong every single year.
  22. Wow, we had a lot of fun didn't we? We laughed, we cried. It's the end of the night and this one is for the road. I'd like to give a shout out to Nugget's Music Videos thread, the original random music thread that taught me everything I know about pasting rando youtube clips on DL. In the meantime, you don't have to go home but you can't stay here:
  23. What a day, what a fightback. Richmond are no slouches and in good form but we showed them who is boss. Time for the old dusty trail. Have a good week Landers!
