  1. Maybe McKay does want out and the real story is about Carlton with Trac as the shop front?
  2. So you reckon MFC are done with Trac and are now focused on getting the best deal THBT?
  3. Has to be more to it because that alone would be an incredibly feeble excuse to leave I must say.
  4. Got us there!
  5. Well, there was a guy whose back was also shot early in his career, and that man grew up to be the 2024 Coleman Medalist. Get him down, we'll have a few beers and a chat..
  6. Perhaps. Still a disgrace to the game though, I don't know who the hell they think they are.
  7. We clearly have issues right now but I'm not sure if the president giving a running commentary on it is the right thing to do at the moment either. a re-affirming stance on our culture would be nice but that's probably not going to do much right now either because few will believe it. Pert has made his statement, right now (at least for this week) it's up to Christian to speak when and where he sees fit.
  8. Maybe we should get him.
  9. Time in forward half 39% and -98 on the overall disposal count. What were we actually doing?
  10. MFC: Hanging for trip
  11. It was ridiculous and the fact that the AFL could sign off and practically agree with Gus causing his own concussion was the most insulting part of all of this for me. I just have no faith in anything they do now and don't want to waste energy over it.
  12. By all means throw the kitchen sink at it but I'm not expecting much. I just don't have faith at all in any process, even if Moore electing to slide is a more plausible cause than Gus choosing the wrong running path.
  13. I'd just like to say how disappointed I am overall with the Fremantle Football Club. A golden opportunity presented itself on their home deck against a side that had 2nd place sewn up and they faltered hard. I hope they are ripping the place down and getting stuck into them big time in the media over there similar to how we did in 2017. The biggest disappointment for 2024 for mine.
  14. Didn't receive it. Not the club's fault though, happens a lot with this address.
  15. Cal had him at no.3 in his last phantom draft. Reasonable left footer which is a point of difference, a solid metres gained guy. Worth trading up for? No idea.
  16. Haven't seen a lot of his disposal to judge but I reckon Smillie has close to if not the best footy IQ in this draft. Separation at the contest, reading the ruckman's taps, fluent in the language of the stoppage.
  17. I'd say not only because his body is shot but it would be nice to nab someone for a year or two to help fast track JVR and Jeffo's development.
  18. When we're talking about Kate's email do we mean the one in Jan 2022 or was there one in the last week regarding this? Can't find anything from her recently.
  19. You guys would know better than me with most of these but I'm a fan of Sam Lalor. Solid but also dynamic mid who has the size to play as a resting forward if needed. But to your point, he seems to love the physical side of the game and tackles like he means it. Something we could use definitely use more of.
  20. Yeah I'd take that for a grand final.
  21. Well I think it's the world's worst kept secret that it would have been smarter to stay a few more years and then seek the big trade back. David King was crying out for it during the week begging Jackson to be that ruck influence they needed. I still think he'll be a big success but we'll see how successful, his team is a joke.
  22. Thank you football
  23. I'm the same, I believe it would be this year or never. When it comes to possiblities though, I think most of us have seen enough to know that nothing is ever iron clad. As for not being traded without agreement, I think there's more chance of players coming around to trades then digging their heels in and making things untenable at their current club, not to mention the way it looks to the rest of the league when you appear to want out but then reject a trade, future employer poison. Yes there is the chance that he could stay at us and change his mind but another possibility is that another team may be happy to take him for a year with the view to getting him where he wants to go, stranger things have happened. When it comes to no-one wanting to take on big money contracts, we've seen plenty of ways around those as well when it seemed impossible. I hope he stays and works it out.
  24. Firstly I'll reiterate that this is hypothetical. Secondly with 5 years left on the contract I'll say it again, it doesn't matter what he wants. I think I differ on the approach from then on. If he doesn't want to be at our club that bad then I'd prefer to do a deal. I don't think we'd win a flag with the state of our list anyway but to keep a player who doesn't want to be there creating a weekly media circus and ripping through the morale of our team would be it next to impossible to win one. I believe that this should be worked out and he will stay on but I've got no interest whatsoever in helping Petracca get to where he wants to go at the expense of using our football club like a doormat.
  25. If only Jackson didn't leave If only Trac didn't get hurt If only Fullarton could play If only Gus didn't get KO'd into next year If only Gawndy worked out If only T-Mac never had the footy issues If only Ben Brown didn't have a degenerative knee If only Jesse never left If only Frawley never left If only Woewodin never left If only Farmer never left If only Barassi never left. Can we stop whinging for a change?
