So where does that leave the authority of the Senior Coach when he wants to implement the Boot Camp the following year and is told later by players and the union, that it aint going to happen... i remember situations like this happening sporadically at school when Teachers were over ruled by certain students. They didn’t last long

The players gave up a finals berth in 2017 because they were not mentally tough enough and now they tell the senior coach how training should be formulated.... They maybe right or wrong, but i have doubts about Goodwin as a Long term Senior Coach if things like this occur

So has Goodwin lost the playing group? it’s not a good look, regardless of whether the Boot Camp was a good idea or not. Players have told the coach to “get nicked” basically this is bad. Goodwin has been usurped...

Robbo is a great Demon loved watching him play... he rang me about 4 years ago on behalf of the club (can’t remember exactly why) and i spoke to him for a good hour about how bad things were and what we could do to save the joint. It was pre Roos great bloke Robbo, never doubt his passion for the MFC

Losing crucial games won’t achieve anything either. The club must be judged harshly on issues like this, if it isn’t, it will happen again and again
