Agree with your sentiments. Its just makes your original swipe silly.
Lets move on.
Yep i will move on but if Austen gets any brownlow votes ever i may just remind you of the word Fringe!

we did lose 2 games by a 100 points. our performances in the last 6 round were one of the worst of the decade, no buts about that.
Actually it was six and a half games. The first half last sunday was the worst of the season.
That said considering their Facilities and Membership. I think Fremantle are by far the worst team of the decade. should never have come into the comp "I didn't vote for 'em!"

If you are trying to imply that Wonas game on Sunday was a similar standard to his past games... dont fool yourself.
He stepped up quite a few notches on Sunday. He did some nice things before but he was a far better player out there on Sunday.
And I wouldnt dare accuse you of flossing when you re-write a bit of history after the event.
Put it this way-it didn't suprise me that he fired up on sunday-It had been building and was going to happen. Certain people have it, maybe for a short time granted, but Austen has it. I don't want to argue Rhino- we love the same team- Just enjoy the kid while its there Buddy. Nothing in life is solid or forever

yeah Knights had some crazy idea that he could make finals this year, whereas Hards said it'd take a few.
Word is that's how Knights got the job
I am Sure it was-Essendon was slow off the mark last year-very unlike them.

with the state of orirign returning, i thought id post a link of one of the greatest footy moments ever seen ejs lap of honour in the 1995 state of o rigin, i have not met a person who didnt cry during this moment, as he was state of origin
looking forward to watching saturdays game, i know theres no dees players in it, but i will be proudly supporting the Vics
Great hat 1995 stuff-I still have the Video of the 1989 Game at the 'G against the South Aussies-Pure Killing-Great Day.
-
Don't have a tatt but yeah I could live with a Premiership Demon each day!! I will think about that one
-
I've already said I barrack for Essendon (who are equally as bad as the Dees atm)
Fair enough Mate-Isuspected you were an Essendon Man.lad we have Bailey rather than Knights at this stage. I have said all along Dean will be a Great Coach and i am sticking to that.

Just trying to imagine that same passionate crowd if it was 40,000. We can do it in time Believe. 40,000 against interstate clubs is what i want.
Did Y M go to the game?? I need to know!!
-
Through thick and thin & so i can be part of last sunday. We have great history that will grow. THAT'S WHY
-
i said at half time...i will not be too upset from here if we lose as long as we have a consisten effort in the second half and knuckle down...when we kicked five straight, if we consistently played well from there but still lost, i would have been upset but still happy with the improvement...it was one of the best days of my life to see the win!
Totally Agree, although after the First Goal in the final Q 30 secs in- I knew we would get 'em. The old Members couldn't believe my Barracking-i didn't care!!
-
Time to be a little Honest. You spend so much time Criticizing my club on here.
Have you the Guts.......??
-
Correct. MFC will not be a force until it can find and develop elite midifielders. We dont have them at the moment.
Maybe thats why Bailey left him there for the whole game-Toughen him up. I Hope so, because i think Jonesy will be elite in time.

Look i am Hoping Austen Keeps playing. Young kids may start going to Aus Kick wearing a Melbourne Jumper and become life long members because of him. Nietz is a legend whether he plays again or not. Give Nieta a Motorcade on Queens Birthday and put him on the coaching staff. Worth Considering. There is no Gain in Neita playing again, a neck injury is too serious.
-
Well done Austin-I knew that this would happen. you have been a bright spark in 2008.
I wish you a long and Prosperous carreer as a Champion Demon. Good Luck.

I said another wingnut that does not read the thread only just the title.
Before Sunday he was a fringe player and as I have pointed he stepped up against the Dockers.
Another vacuous hero incorrectly point scoring off misconstrued hindsight.
But i always considered Austin above a fringe player before sunday, as i said he was the reason and the only reason i made the trip into the game on sunday was him.
Before Sunday he was the only player who stood up and wanted to attack.
-
Its posts like that which remove any doubts I had about you Little. Another wingnut that does not read the thread.
I read the thread title just fine Rhino. You were the one who said Austin was a fringe player not i.
Like fonzie occassionally you were w w w wr wro wrong.
Russel Richards was certainly a fringe player though, that i do remember!!

Sounds to me like our new CEO has already done a great thing. Kick to kick on the Hallowed turf saved even a few die hards from Leaving Early. I am now just a little bit confident that the Melbourne Football club will rise to power. Things are Happenning. In the words of Bill Murray from "what about Bob"- Baby steps!

Looking forward to watching Grimey play.
.
Can't wait to see "Frank" Grimes play for Melbourme
-
If the 2nd half was an example of Bailey's game plan well ime on it full time. Man that was great footy-we would have beaten most teams on sunday playing that. Miller and Jamar were AWESOME...Finally!!!!
-
I wouldn't drop bruce he was dam solid when it counted late in the game. We need experience and youth in Adelaide. AAMI stadium is a barren place
-
My old man messaged me (we sit in different areas) to say that he was heading off at half time. Only problem was that I had to remind him that he was my lift home, so he was forced to stay till the end. He thanked me later
Ha Ha You can remind him of that for years-Classic!!!!
-
just thought i'd quote you again rhino.
Seriously i went to the Kangaroos games (And yes i went to the Freo game to watch Wonaeamirri play). He had been the only spark in 4 Games
Fringe player indeed!!! Robert Flower had to learn the game once to you know
-
Rhino will be in this thread soon doing a giant backflip.
Come on RR. Be a man and admit you do not have the football nous required to identify footy talent.
By the way i am older than you Rhino but i still like to party hard and enjoy life!!!!!
-
What a great performance by Aussie.
Those celebrations are legendary.
It's players like Aussie that football clubs dream of - talent, speed, flair, achieving goals the hard way.
People will come to games just to watch this bloke - he's a marketer's dream
What a great day for the MFC. Let's hope it can continue for Aussie and the rest of the boys.
Yeah get Austin out there with Paul Macnamee in time when he is settled and playing reguliar senior Footy. Aboriginal Magic he will be ok. and yes i remember sean charles and les bamblett. I also remember a young Jeff Farmer and one good Byron Year
Nice one OZ
