I would, of course, regularly interrogate myself to wonder why supporting a team is so irrational (especially in the context of the MFC). My father supported MFC so I did - a child’s commitment. What is the adult logic in that? I have never successfully answered that question to my own liking. It is what it is, as they say.

At any rate, I am done for the time being. I am sick of the nonsense that the coach pumps out in his weekly media appearances. It is frankly insulting. It is not about getting ‘value for money’. It is about not being part of a scam and the way the coach smoothly shifts between ‘learnings’, ‘it is not about winning’, ‘we are building something’, ‘the game plan is about to be understood’ and all the rest of the corporatised nonsense he gets from some management training seminars or wherever just insults the intellect of the membership.

The lack of response from the senior management who seem to cosy up and enjoy the wine and food on game days but refuse to publicly take responsibility. It is ludicrous that we have an interim leadership who cannot do anything because we are waiting for the real leadership to arrive - when we are in the throes of a football season where key decisions are required and we are performing so intolerably.

So I have decided to not go this weekend and save the travel time and dollars and my happiness.

There is no aesthetic in being scammed by the club any longer.

When October comes up, I will review my long-term membership status - currently I am doubtful I will continue if the senior coach is still there at the head of the scam.

I have the MFC/MFC renewal email sitting in my account right now for next year

I haven’t made up my mind what i am going to do yet.

I will wait until the CEO joins and see what his strategy is.

I hope people inside the Club do read this site….

It needs to happen, we need to get back into the 1st round of the draft this year.

It hurts, it will hurt but we need top end talent coming through the door yearly.

Of those 4 names mentioned Fritta and Clarry hold the most value obviously but a Viney and Lever combo could help Norf culturally.

We need Talent from the 24-28 Age Group next year

The trading over the last 4 years has hurt us very badly

We have to be very careful who is moved on, players or Coaches. It may only need to be 1-2 people, but the right decisions must be made

Our Skill level on the field is terrible most of the time, with 10 minutes of total Blitzkrieg sporadically.

The Members of Perennial Top Clubs would not put up with the output from our Football Department and why should we??

We Sell Home Games in the NT and then go up there and play bad football most years (The Game is almost Secondary)

This Club had a Huge chance to Sort itself out, but it has Crashed badly.

This New CEO better have balls of steel, he has to get the whole Club working in unison as PJ did, really tough decisions must be made very soon after he arrives

They need to sell tickets, memberships, merchandise, sponsorships etc. etc. Do you think even clubs like Richmond or WCE are coming out at the beginning of the season saying "well, it's going to be a shot season, we'll be lucky to win even a handful of matches and will probably be fighting it out for the wooden spoon"? Of course they don't.

Few points he made that pricked my ears

• Off season focus will be adding more midfield talent to fit in with our transitioning game.

• I think there will be another focus on adding forward talent and experience. Quote, "leaving no stone unturned" when I heard that my initial reaction was Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay.

• Exposing talent. Spoke about the likes of Jeffo, Tholstrup, Lindsay, Langford continuing to get opportunities. Will look at maybe exposing more, but key focus is to also win and win well.

• Judd McVee is still working his way through his contract and negotiations. Said "we're hopeful Judd will sign on in the not too distant future". Didn't exactly sound all that confident. Sounded very similar to the Luke Jackson talk imo.

Weekly walks with the new CEO is the interesting point to me.

The conversations would be fascinating to hear.

Next Year’s Strategy is so important for this Club

So we have struggled to kick goals for the last 3 Years. Let’s get rid of our primary forward as a result.
