Nobody should ever be offered a 5 year deal. its too long-players get lazy. If i had my way. Every player at Melbourne would be on one year Performance based Contracts. 1 Year. Everyone is only as good as their next Game.

I grew up in Sandringham so i have always loved the Fact that my two teams were together. 4 Flags in 7 years-Maybe a 5th by seasons end. I will always barrack for the ZEBRAS alongside Melbourne-supporting springvale just doesn't sound quite right. I Hope the reserves come Back myself. I have watched a few SANFL games and the standard over there is higher. The VFL is good but to dilute it with AFL is not the answer.

Brock has sure improved, but i think he still has more work to do. But if he keeps going the same way he is at the moment-He will get to the top level. He needs Consistency. Dam that first round last year. Such a waste. Those saints will pay!

Winning isn't a result of winning, it's a result of doing the necessary things & just plain old hard work.

You don't have to be up the ladder to learn to win. You have to learn to do the right things before the wins come, then you rise up the ladder...? If you have the class to outshine the other hard working unit.

I understand what you are saying but do nonot entirely agree. A lot of our senior players have played Finals so a long Hiatus of losses may be a bad thing. A win sends belief down the line. I totally agree about the Learning process. Just always a sprinkling of wins is so important. If not DB is going to have to be a completely Inspirational Coach. Maybe that's why he got the job-We shall all see..........

I don't think that's fair on the players, or DB for that matter. I'd say that the first quarter can be put down to Neitz and Kennett, emotion can only take you so far, it doesn't make you sustain it for the whole day, especially against the likes of Hawthorne.

Thats a fair point and the saints are definately vulnerable this weekend. I really hope we whip them hard. I have no respect for the Saints-they have been so overrated for the last 10 years. in 2005 they had a Brilliant chance and blew the Prelim (By a whisker i do concede) But Melbourne can beat them

I pay my $600 that gives me the right to choose what i go to watch and when. I don't like cricket that much so i don't go very much at all during summer. But when i was a student 25 years ago i went without food so as i could pay for the MCC Membership-so don't threaten my seat at the Grand Final or any other game. I was there in '88 and 2000 and i intend to see the Demons win a Flag from the Members Reserve.. QED

Let me get this straight. The boss of the Tassie Hacks thinks the Melbourne Footy Club should play out of the Gold Coast? He just doesn't get it, does he? We are Melbourne, the establishment of footy, oldest footy club ever. And we're the Melbourne Football Club. You'd think that was pretty plain and simple to sink in. Does funny things to you, spending too much time down in the land of apples and the extinction capital of Oz (they've extincted the Tassie Tiger, Lake Pedder, their Aborigines and it won't be long before the Tassie Hawkers are heading the same way). i am all for curtain raisers...i reckon they should play them their during all day games, no need for them at night matches. if they did id get their at 12, watch the game and then have lunch their. ok i know its expensive, but i get a full days entertainment, not just 2.5 hours. i know the g looks great these games, but o you reckon 1 extra game a week is too much?

Rubbish! The Local Priest in Elwood was a Rabid Demon Supporter. After we beat the Crows in that Final the whole Church was Red and Blue-Bloody Brilliant.
