  1. Melbourne will win because the Big Jimma is behind the Goals again. Knights gets sacked and run out of town by feral Frothing essendon members.
  2. now that is what we members should vote for as a clash strip- i can handle that.
  3. Interesting how the Current AFL Dictatorship do not tell the Fans & Members about "Clash Strips" They just tell the Clubs what must happen. If the AFL consulted the Fans of clubs on this issue they would be run out of town. Essendon Members VOTED for a Red & Black Strip at all times The MFC Members should vote for a Red & Blue Strip, with debt demolition who is to say we need the AFL Charity for too long any way. I shall never agree to ANY White Strip-I do not live in the WESTERN SUBURBS!!!
  4. RR the Mediocraty is just as much from the Business side of this club as on field, it goes back a long way and you know it. Since when did i clap the side off the ground after Round 1....i stayed till the end, but that was it. Don't add stories then bag me-it's not cool. And BTW why do we have so many limited ability senior players as you state, is that not poor management and once again an acceptance of Mediocrity?? Previous administrations at this club have let this club down so badly, even without intending-but they have, and i am at this stage a little concerned that these Traits onfield still exist. It is a problem that can be fixed, and i do believe in Jimma and co as i often state. But while we put in substandard performances against sides we should beat-i will highlight it. Fingers Crossed on the Reg Grundy's...
  5. Is Jimmy on Youtube at all?? Never like to miss a Jimma chat, particularly when G Lyon is there as well, those boys are thick as Friends can be.
  6. Please Please Post Pictures or a link to pictures for all of us who are not in the country & cannot see the Game. The Love of Jimma is still alive and Fighting.
  7. My axe to grind is to see this club Wake Up from its acceptance of Mediocre performances with the odd brilliant display thrown in. In my 40 years of supporting this wonderful club we have never been consistent over 22 rounds. (2000 we got close-but then the year after failed to make the final series to Redeem our GF loss)Now i fully understand this year as a Roller Coaster-but even so over all i am disappointed in our results post round 5. If you have a problem with that you are entitled to it-but i recall you saying last week you were happy with the saints effort. I streamed the 2nd Half last night and was not at all impressed-we gave the saints loads of cheap goals, and were non existent in the last Q. So i don't find your opinions too convincing either 25.
  8. I hope you are absolutely correct on that one RR
  9. When did i pick or choose?? My original post on this subject talked from 3-2 onwards.... You rate our season so far a 6-8. Well i don't that's the fundamental difference between you and i 45. Sorry mate a loss is a loss, and to that matter so is a draw. They are 3 games we should have won but did not. I mean even our coach rated us a 5/10 season mark so far a few weeks back. Room for major improvement and overall disappointing considering the good form that has been played sporadically. I knew the game against the Wet Coke was over after the first 2 minutes-so i think your marking system is far to lenient mate, and as a teacher i hope you test your students harder for their own sake in future! The Season is not over or wasted, but the onfield must show more up to round 22
  10. If we win the Flag in a white Jumper i will be Furious (& yes i will still enjoy it-but you get my point) Keep up the Fight Daisy. We must fight for our colours.
  11. No lets look at it from the time we were 3-2 & then the picture becomes clearer 45. Stop making excuses when it only covers up the point i am making. Apart from the Dogs game & our QB Grand Final we have struggled & it has nothing to do with our draw-Adelaide have been shite this year so i don't buy that one. Carlton are patchy at best & should never have been allowed that start. Rather than saying how hard everything is, lets look at putting up better performances against sides in the same competition.
  12. Which to me aounds like Brad Scott & his assistants did there homework really well, and works us out. And since then we have struggled with a couple of exeptions. So your use of the word "Garbage" earlier is a little harsh i would say. (Nice Reg Grundy's on your new Avatar btw-very suave look indeed)!
  13. Who is whingeing? I am making an observation as to why the season has stalled for us. Our Draw has been pretty good really- it could have been way worse so i do not except that one. We are part of a 16 team comp, so we play where we play. We have many senior players on our list-sadly they are not in the top bracket- I am actually sick of people on here making so many excuses for them-But that's my opinion. I saw all the games played by this team up to QB so i am entitled to have a view. What the Club is achieving so far all round is FANTASTIC but onfield we have stagnated, if you do not agree that's up to you. And concerning me fixing the problem, i am a paid up member like you 45. I do not work at the club, but if i was ever given the chance sure i would love to sit down with DB for a few hours-it's always good to listen to different perspectives. We actually do have a forward line, but most of them do not work hard enough to get back to position when the ball is rebounded off Half Back. How deflating is an empty forward 50...
  14. Since the Bears game at the 'G all teams have done their homework on the Demons, look at the results since then. We are usually beaten in the first 10 minutes of the Game. I want to know where the counter strategy is....we were always going to be examined this year. Losing LJ for the First 14-15 games didn't help, granted. But i have been very disappointed at how early in a match it has been Game Over.
  15. The AFL should also take a large dose of blame in the loyalty stakes, as it is them who have conceived these Faceless soulless Franchise Monsters. Hey if Cam Bruce can get a good last contract-good luck to him. He will always be a Demon in my eyes. I can't see him going though unless they offer him Top coin.
  16. It all depends on the Forward line, if Jurrah & Sylvia can find some form we may win some games. If the Forward line does not fire we will not win another game this year. Right now opposition Clubs have all our bases and strategies covered-they know how to beat us. Hope i am wrong guys, but right now we are easy meat-Which makes next weekends game a good contest because Essendon are no better.
  17. I was at the '76 GF & i can assurer you the MFC was not there, we missed the finals by half a game after carlton & Footscray drew in Round 22. On that same day we Beat the Filth at Victoria Park-i remember it well. Our next Finals campagn after '64 was in '87, and i think we all no how that happened.
  18. You are correct to a point over the last few years, but there is no reason to kowtow to the Faceless AFL for the Future. I will not watch this club Roll Over and be dictated to, This is the perfect timew to Stand Up and say no. Right now. A white strip against St.kilda??? Last Time i looked they have neither read or Blue in their Jumper or shorts, but they do have white. FIGHT THE POWER old dee. we are red & blue
  19. Well said, this is the perfect opportunity after wearing white against St. kilda to say NO. If we need to wear a more Red Jumper against certain teams or a more predominantly Blue Jumper Fair Enough, But this white arguement is just incorrect. Stand Up Melbourne, if there is a fine for not wearing that Rubbish-Tell us all what it is and lets get the arguement out in the open....Red & Blue only.
  20. Cause & Effect is exactly right-The Effect a bad Loss has on our younger kids when our Older "leaders" go missing is bad. The Effect being our young kids full of potential see Mediocre performances & bad Habits during a game creep in. That is the Effect that worries me. I know very well the long term goals-But at present we have hit a wall and some adjustments need to be made.
  21. Did we really wear a white clash strip last week against St.kilda?? Well that just backs up my arguement from all along doesn't it-These Alternative strips are not used for "Clash" purposes. They are a marketing Tool, that the AFL make a cut out of. Playing in a white jumper against St.kilda-How ridiculous and down right arrogant AFL. If we must wear this Rubbish it must be Red & Blue. Essendon do not wear white in a clash strip so why should the MFC??
  22. The only assumption i am making is, that i am worried you are content with Insipid performances like the adelaide game, a game where Jack Trengove was directing senior players for part of the time.Jack is class yes, but there are way too many passengers away from the MCG on our list-so to be content is just not right 25. But you are entitled to an opinion mate
  23. I agree. My impression is that a few things inside the Footy Dept. are not quite going to plan, and a little "tweaking" is needed-nothing drastic-but it looks like the other sides have us good and worked out right now. So we have to work out new strategies.
  24. Yep i have looked at the Draw of both clubs over the last 6 weeks. And Richmond have won games interstate on enemy soil so i reckon they are way ahead of us sadly, and it hurts me to say that. Considering we smashed them in round 5. People were predicting the Toiges would go winless this year-Far Far from it now.
