You are kidding i hope. How bout those senior players took it on themselves to improve. Against top sides Bruce & Moloney did nothing in their final years. They had peaked at a reasnoable level. Moloney sulked & people still wanted him captain. He was a major cog in the reason the side never progressed past mediocre. Played only on his terms. Not the team

The number one priority for me apart from finance of course is keeping the QB fixture. Many are now calling it a joke. If we lose it i fear for our survival in the AFL. Monday has GOT to be competitive. A smashing on National TV cannot be a factor.

But strong leadership can change culture within weeks not years. This club is going backwards & it is because of a lack of strong leadership. Monday is critical. If the club gets smashed we may lose that fixture forever. It is our one strong link to the top end of the comp.

I agree and will never understand why Sheeds was not taken on when the chance was in the room. Do we have the right people running the club? Because if they strip it back to far to early then it is wrong. You must also keep "hope" at the forefront of business,& after the Tanking fiasco & wash up i find it hard to trust this current board without Jimma there. They have got to get out there and be more inclusive of members. I have never seen a poorer effort on the ground & this is from a playing list that trains daily not just on tuesday & thursday nights like the old days.

It was interesting hearing Dermott speak as a board member under Jeff on SEN earlier tonight. Said he really liked working with him. He did get stuff done. But he made the point that Ian Dicker set it all up. Kennett was good at increasing a system that was in place. He didn't say Jeff would be bad for the MFC, but that some people would get burnt. Interesting to hear a POV from inside the Boardroom.

I am not a huge Jeff Kennett fan at any time, but i do recognize a challenge.. You see everybody keeps thinking Jeffrey will come in and smash the joint, i tend to think he will treat it as a tough challenge. I am sure Jeffrey Gibb has a lot of "Melbourne Club" associates/friend who have been in his ear.. Re watch his Footy Classified episode...Jeff has a huge mouth, but he is no fool. We need strong energy. Don is submissive.

Hard words Cudi, but i fully understand what you mean....It is the CLUB that has got us into this position, not the supporters.. People who were paid by OUR money to make ordinary decisions...Send that one into the club... It might hit a nerve...ya never know.

No DL it is time this club learnt how to run itself professionally in a competitive market, and do it properly. This Club had a dynasty of power in the Amatuer era, but as soon as Big $$$ became involved we folded. And in 50 years since that continues...We nheed Fresh New Corporate Energy.. Not the Quick Fix Ben Polis Rubbish.... By the way since Don Kow Tow'd to the AFL over summer i wouldn't trust him with $5, & he wants to go back to the AFL and beg next week. This Great club of ours has been to insular for far too long.. Time to look outside the square.

After mondays thumping the changes will start. This board is dysfunctional. Has been since Jimmy went down. I say that sadly but it is true. Monday must be Don's last speech, you cannot keep going to the AFL asking for help. WE Gave them $5 mill plus 6 years worth of funds. WHERE IS IT NOW??

I disagree. We can get stronger in MELBOURNE with the right strategy. The current board has sent us to the wall. I cannot defend that.

i think Whorethorn & Nought are already well entrenched in the map of Tassie. Settle down. The MFC needs to stay in Melbourne. I heard Jeff again speak this morning. He made a lot of sense. Can the current Board lift us out of this???
