  1. Choose the Sydney member allocation, there are still plenty left. You can get more than 5 in a row last time I checked on level 2.
  2. Yeh I don't buy the excuse about email communication not being ticked on your membership form. I get spammed with every other offer from the club via email so I'm not buying it. Good to hear you got it sorted.
  3. I'm yet to receive an email from the club and I'm a trident member, so it's a pretty ordinary customer service experience with less than a business hour to get stuff sorted out if I was reliant on the club sorting it for me. Anyway, regardless, I worked it out for myself. For anyone else that hasn't received an email from the club with your barcode, you can login to your membership account if you have a username and password via https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/. Your barcode will be in there from the membership details tab. Good luck getting your tickets, Go Dees!
  4. Yeah, saw that also. We've gone from being ranked 5th in the comp for ball use inside 50 to 18th. A lot of the issues are easily fixed if they hit up loose targets rather than blazing away to outnumbered contests. The game plan that's been drilled into them seems to be taking away from their ability to play instinctive footy and hit up a loose team mate. It's concerning that this hasn't been addressed as its been happening most of the year and definitely cost us the game Friday night.
  5. Yeh I agree, 30-50% game time as a ruck and 30-50% game time as a mid. With Geelong now playing Blicavs on the ball more it will certainly give them something else to think about around the ground and at Centre Clearances if we played Dogga in that role. If he can work on his endurance he'd be pretty formidable around the ground with a higher percentage of game time. There's no reason he couldn't turn into an old fashion ruck rover, he is good below his knees and a tough match up aerially. Rather than focus on his short comings as a ruck it would be better for us to focus on his strengths and what other line ups can't come to terms with. Lets hope he stays.
  6. Do you have reference to the indicators / current stats? There was an article about the key indicators back in April, they were looking pretty good back then despite us not really looking like we were playing that well and still wining games (IMO). I'd be interested to see where teams are ranked now vs then. Also the uneven fixture can skew the stats a bit so I'm not sure you can read too much into the stats as you mentioned. A good discussion point all the same to take a look at how things are tracking. https://www.espn.com.au/afl/story/_/id/33768562/afl-2022-champion-data-deep-dive-stats-reveal-premiership-contenders-fremantle-dockers-melbourne-biggest-danger
  7. Will the loss Adelaide's Ruck McKinnon play a significant part in the game?
  8. Out or interest what is the meaning or background behind Crom?
  9. I could be wrong but prior to his knee injury last season I think he had hardly lost a one on one contest. It could be that he is still finding his strength etc after the knee injury. He’s come back pretty soon after injury, I’m prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. If Lever comes back in and replaces him in the meantime whilst Smith gets some game time and Tomlinson builds up his fitness that would be a decent outcome.
  10. Bevo has lost the plot and looks mentally unstable. If I were a Dogs supporter I’d be concerned someone that loose is senior coach. If he can act like that live on National TV imagine what he’d act like when he gets unhinged behind closed doors. The media conference rivals the Kevin Keegan presser when he blew up before Newcastle United capitulated in the league in 96. Bevo’s is probably worse.
  11. Any chance this is a vaccine injury? Have seen a lot in European soccer recently, also one report of a Crows top up player this/last week.
  12. I have a ticket available at cost price of $275 in section 528 . Are there any Demons fans in Perth that needs a ticket to todays game? Feel welcome to contact me. Go Dees 🔵🔴
  13. Q: What was the rationale behind trading next years first round pick for essentially 2 early second round picks this year?
  14. I thought he came across pretty agitated. I was glad to hear him stick up for Max as well. From recollection he also made the point that our on ballers had been copping unfair treatment as well. Hopefully Goodwin keeps raising it as it goes unnoticed most weeks and clearly hampers players like Oliver, who knows the effect it has on the results of games.
  15. We have a major advantage with Max Gawn in the ruck. But we are getting smashed in the clearances. Fix that up and we have half a chance.
  16. I think he might have had 3 or 4 possessions up to half time. Maybe he had a few more after half time but in general play I don't think he did that much. One or two flashes here or there is hardly something for him to hang his hat on as a small forward. Did he hit the scoreboard? How many goal assists did he create?
  17. Preuss is a liability really, not really good at anything in particular. Slow when the balls on the ground, and not overly dominant in the air as a mark. In the ruck he holds his own but that's Gawn's role so personally I'd rather Jackson or Weid who add a bit more as a forward option. Jackson looks to contribute when the ball hits the deck as well. Lockhart generally looks good, seems to cough it up at times though. I think Rivers will go past him sooner or later.
  18. Highlight of the preseason was Langdon and Tomlinson's two way running stopping us from being carved up time and again in transition. I can't recall many loose goals out the back if any through the pre season. It's something that has been irritating to watch for numerous seasons so I'm glad it's been addressed. Considering the amount of entries we were getting inside 50 tonight the delivery, structure and personnel was an issue for us at times. I think Brown added a fair to our structure in the games he's played as well as Pickett. Jackson is probably capable of playing a role as ruck/fwd in place of Weideman so that's also encouraging. Viney looks fit and back to his best, in that type of form he's a top 25-50 player in the comp. After playing well last week against North Spargo was barely sighted. Pickett or Bedford could potentially add a bit more in that role. Hibberds disposal at times was worrying along with a few others in the back half. It's only preseason so hopefully they iron that out and it's not a trend. Overall they must be pretty happy with the pre season. The area of improvement they would want out of tonight is converting the midfield dominance on the score board with inside 50 efficiency. Lots to be encouraged by with the other games and most parts of tonight.
  19. Good forward pressure and tackle by Bedford. Reward for effort with the set shot Goal. Rivers kick a few minutes ago out of the back 50 was a beauty. Allowed us to open up the whole ground and transition quickly for a shot on goal. Hope to see him in the seniors this year.
  20. For what its worth SEN have gone with the same story. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2020/02/05/are-the-dockers-set-to-move-jesse-hogan-on/
  21. How in this day and age with professional sports science teams, physios & doctors on top of all of the other consultants outside of club level get the diagnosis about his calves wrong for over 4 years? Is this legitimately what has happened or is this spin to mask other issues he's had?
  22. SEN Article for those interested. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2019/10/28/edmund-new-victorian-club-enters-the-frame-for-bennell/
  23. Well we aren't going to get pick 5 in return or course. But they need to pay something better than what's rumoured to have been offered so far. 6 and a pick under 12 this year would be more ideal.
