The players have made a statement as to how they feel about the coach today.

I think thats true. No point singling out players when the issue must be the club as a whole. there are many issues.

With Casey losing by 128 and we are down by over 100 at half time, fair to say not a good day!

What a huge fall from grace. i loved Brock and thought he would be captian of Melbourne, was very suprised when he decided to leave Melbourne, not sure of the exact happenings as I was overseas at the time. I really hope he gets back playing some good footy. Seen him at the bullants and he dominates every week, although the VFL suits him, he wouldn't dominate as much in the WAFL for example.

Anyway some good news, Tom will be playing this weekend it looks like.

This has nothing to do with his contract but during the Port game he came off after heavy knoch to the back/head then went to the rooms. He was subbed off not long after. Now they are saying its his knee? Maybe he hurt his knee when falling to the ground. Anyone else notice that?

While it may look a little selfish from green as the ball was clearly going through and it would have been a massive team lifter you always have to make sure of the goal. Mark it put it through move on.

Can't believe people are back on gettin Bennell in the side. He has had many opportunities and done nothing. Maric has two games, one kicks three and sets up a couple and the next a very poor game. He deserves the run more than Bennell.

Jurrah in for Bate. Would really like to see Batram and Macdonald back for Nicholson and Strauss but I wouldn't like to make many changes as this unsettles a side. This is partly what happened against the Hawks with the forward line having little understanding of where people where at.

I think the club are doing really well from the outside. Your issue is your believe all the crap the media spits out at you. You have absolutely no idea how the club are handling inside. A pretty weak arm chair slag off at the club does nothing.

We should really be the twilight game as both teams will not make the 8.

Sad to say, today reinforced the reality of our lack of character, lack of skill, and for the first time I think we may have a talent pool well below what has been touted. We have been resolutely uncompetitive against any decent opposition, and for mine, we have regressed from last year. It sounds odd, based on the fact that we could end up with 2 or 3 more wins, but last year gave us a glimpse of our potential against the big boys. No such glimpses this year, and way too many sub-standard players. I'm struggling to get a clear view of our future, and after 3 years of hope and promise, it's a big worry.

It was an amazing smoother! He does some really great team things, can let himself down with kicking and decision making but always has a crack.

BAtram has to come, our backline with the headless chook (nicohlson) and Dear in the headlights (Strauss) is far to loose and just leaks goals. He is the tightest defender we have, sooner him and MAcdonald come back the better our defence will be. Lets not worry to much about the running rebound.

Some over the top statements there but the decision to get rid of Mcdonald is turning out to be a shocker. His leadership would be valuable, Green is struggling as a captain. Even Bruce not being there is hurting. People might say if we still had Bruce then Strauss and Nicholson wouldn't be playing, I know who I'd pick.

Bate can stay in as the sub, it won't really matter.

These changes are good but Gysberts dropped! A lot of games where he does very little. 10 touches today and he was very bad and worried out of the game.

I think it was because Martin just threw it towards the umpire. May have been stiff but he should have just kicked it down the ground.

Out coached again, all I ever hear is that Bailey is a master tactician yet he is by far the worst coach in the year. Has little chance of being re-signed at the end of the year. Hawks had many out and a few coming back from injury. The end margin flattered us should have been closer to 90 points. Embarrassing again.

One of many ordinary players. Showed again that he is not up to AFL standard, should be used as a last resort from now.

It is a big game for him tomorrow. I do hope he is not the sub. He may get the hawks third best defender and should be able to influence the game. His main issue other than being slow is that he can't mark over his head. This is where he has to improve, he only has a few week against some good teams to prove himself. All the best to him.

I think it would be a HUGE loss if Colin went. In fact, if we lose Scully and Sylvia, this year will be a disaster.

This was done mid last year when a few guys set up a fake account for Col on Twitter. He then made his own account. This is whats in the profile (not an actual Tweet) that was done mid last year when set up. So he is talking about his future on Twitter.

Would take a fair bit for Col to leave as he loves Melbourne and is best mates with Brent Moloney.

Just saw the Jack Trengove press conference and how good is this kid! The more this goes on the more I am keen to keep him longer!!!!!!!

My take on it without making up lies.....

Scully and his manager look at his next contract last August. They could either sign there for a slight increase in wage or wait to this one expires to see how much he would be worth after two years. Sounds like they are being smart to me.

It was poor reporting with nothing new. THe only quote from his manager says he is very happy with Melbourne and that's not true about a rift. I know he has to say that but was very direct about the issue. Sick of people using the Scully 'camp' or the buckley 'camp' seriously its one person not a camp.

THis may turn out to be a good thing and he signs with us tomorrow, but i doubt it! LAst thing we need going in to a tough month is this crap!

Agreed. Won't get a game this year for us. Maric will hopefully get a good run at it and cement his spot. Hopefully offered a rookie list spot next if there is no one else available.

I have been in Morton's corner all year, although another poor game from Cale.

I can see where people are coming from with the Ray and Fiora examples, there are also others that have become very good players, Jamar, Goddard.

I still think we should stick with Morton, I would prefer the stick with him than get rid of him option. He is still in our best 22. Although if Scully stays he maybe at GWS.

Was interested in watching Butcher on the weekend. He is tall but not exactly huge gorilla forward yet. Did some good things but his kicking wasn't great. Gave at least one goal off while straight in front. Surely Port should be giving him a few games soon to see how he is going, can't do any worse?
