I will also defend every player for the MFC who puts in the required effort, and playes to the best of his ability and his limitations. I am critical of unforced errors or clanger kicks and handballs which result in turnovers, when the player in question has the time to execute it properly. On the flipside I can understand or forgive players who do this under "intense pressure" I make no apologies for criticism directed at players in the best interests for the club and my support for the football club I love - the MFC.

Chris Johnson has had 5 years at the MFC and has only recently shown his wares. Newton has had 4 years and is a KP player. More development needed.

Alot of you so called supporters are saying "stick a fork in him, Newton is done". I ask you how many games has this guy played? Not even 15 games. FACT: at present our best midfield is not on the park. This guy is a Full Forward who has had 3 games this year. With very limited game time even at Sandringham seniors this year due to niggles. He kicked 2 goals yesterday with limited supply. IMO wait, lets see him play the year out. That's what Bailey wants to see.

If it's that bad, why play him? His efficiency is down in comparison to his magnificent effort to take the field. If he was on crutches after the game for a day, why risk him? There are others at Sandy busting guts that aren't on crutches after the game!

I think you should just ignore the few posters on here (hehem Y_M), re: Bruce. He has been a wonderful player for Melbourne. Ignore them.

Brad Green is the man to beat at present with Brock out for the season, but with Green out for a few weeks with a hammy, Cameron Bruce could be the one to sneak up! So I voted other

It has been mooted, that the AFL should wipe the Bulldogs, Kangas and Demons debt with $14 million or something. Because they have the money. WHilst Demetriou said that the TV Rights deal will 'guarantee' the survival of all 16 clubs, I don't believe him. They should start a clean slate before the 17th and 18th teams come in - IMO.
