....edit - I had to revisit yesterday, cheers. I know Williams was impeded by leg speed, it was intended to be a joke.....obviously misinterpreted. No comment on the Lovett issue? He was one of my favourites for the record, and IMO he wasn't slow, he reacted quicker than most of his opponents and was rarely beaten. And he shoved it up Hawthorn a plenty of times too. PS. There's no need for slagging off.......trolls do that

No less tough than Harry Taylor.

Now that would increase Memberships............. -
De Boer didn't look that impressive for me.

I'm not happy making up the numbers like '04-'05-'06. I want a premiership, and I also would like another first round draft pick between 9 and 16, but I just don't think Green is the answer to that. I agree that the club should be doing everything possible to gather the best team possible. And I understand about the draft situation and the new teams coming in. But we need cool heads and look at all options possible, before putting Green on the table. He has lead from the front this season and could well win this years B&F. Look, we might be able to get another early pick another way. ie draft picks for draft picks and maybe a player that is worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick in order to get the late 1st round draft pick.

IMO Bate is value to the team, Bailey is looking for his niche in the team, I think it will come next season.

I don't give a rats what you care about. I've outlined the benefits, as have others. Your in the minority. IYO it doesn't equal a finals appearance, let alone a premiership? IYO - leave it at that.
-
Just because he's 27 and he is worth something right now doesn't mean we should rid of him. The benefits are his leadership and his attack on the ball, as well his goal kicking attributes. Captaincy is not out of the question for next year. They are the benefits.

Brett Lovett was not slow. He may of looked slow with his big backside, but he was deceptively quicker than other half back flankers of his time. If Brett Lovett was slow, the rest of his teammates and opposition would be considered pedestrian. Don't insult my football intelligence. For I historically have a good knowledge and wealth of experience. I don't respect your opinion. And please take note of your own advice, before you post your own tripe again.

Green trade? Your the Grasshopper.

Aren't they the ones in the toilet block?

I have reviewed the Vic Metro and W.A. sides last night. From these sides having watched them play in the last game of the U18 Champ's, I have 'turned recruiter', of the 44 players I saw, these were the standouts for me (not in any particular order):- Unfortunately, if we have pick 1, our next one won't be until 17. So, we may only get 1 player out of the following: - (VIC) - Blease, Zaharkis, Smith, McKernan, Watts, Logan, Lyle, Banner. (WA) - Rich, Yarren, Naitanui, Hill. I saw a bit of O'Keefe from Sth Aust in highlights - he looked good too. I'm sure there are others from SA and other states.... But of these I saw some great attributes in - apologies to De Boer who was touted he didnt catch my eye as much : - BLEASE - Neck breaking pace, skill and poise. 2 goals - class personified. Top 10 pick. ZAHARKIS - Plenty of pace, broke lines, accurate kick - looks a 'hungry for the footy type' - looks professional. Top 5 pick. SMITH - Saw a few good things, played half forward and midfield, good mark & kick, took on Rich in last quarter, looks skillful, I think a top 20 pick. Would be happy if we got him at 18 for example. McKERNAN - Yes looks like his brother, not as tall. Top 15 pick for sure. WATTS - Kicked 2 goals, does look to have class, by reports had more influence in the other games, led well, presented well. Still development within him. Won't get much out of him 1st year. Light frame at present. Top 5 pick. LOGAN - Was Nathan Buckley's tip for a high selection. Does look to have huge leadership qualities. Found ball well, hard at it, wants it everytime. Loves his footy, professional. LYLE - Can play key position, played CHB, looks a leader also, top 30 pick. BANNER - Had heaps of ball, kept finding it, was on Rich for parts of the game. In and under type, gets clearances, kicking to position the only query. Top 20 pick. RICH - Class personified, looked to be the best kick from just on what I saw, left footer CLASS, pace is ok - not the fastest, but can turn it on, quick with hands, good hands, good vision. My No.1. YARREN - Looks Top 10 for sure. Maybe Top 5. Another forward option with loads of potential. Skillful forward, can take grabs. Has pace to burn. A Adam Goodes type for comparison. NAITANUI - Huge Leap, athletic, forward and ruck option. Highly competitive. Top 5 easy. HILL - Young, athletic, small, fast, left footer. A young Nathan Eagleton, Daniel Pearce type. Kicked a beauty on the run at full tilt from 55m. Looks a top 20. My Top 5: 1 RICH 2 NAITANUI 3 WATTS 4 ZAHARKIS 5 LOGAN

That was average. Get Stuart Fox. He's very cunning......

If it was a joke. It wasn't that funny. PS. I read the next line. PPS. Still not funny.

Geez, she was very protective of her dear old Richmond and their decision to axe Miller. Lyon copped abuse from C aro. Caro called Garry the "Puppeteer". But good ol' Gaz, like water off a duck's back - shrugged it off and told her not to get upset...good boy Gaz.

Umpire McLaren - why is he still umpiring?
H_T replied to The Great Pretender's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ill just use the old AFL motto, "I'd like to see that!" I think he's umpiring still, so he just won't be remembered for upsetting James Hird which resulted in a $20K fine for Mr.Hird. -
Give him 3 weeks at Smorgy's over pre-season. That would have a reverse effect to Whitnall's Health Retreat. Whilst the latter might not of worked 100%, it's worth a try. Hell, maybe Smorgy's could join as a sponsor and beef a few players up!

Anything would be a positive compared to the first few rounds

Last night on Footy Classified Caroline Wilson dropped the "R" word, and if you are having trouble guessing what it is - it's another word for knackered - which she also used after revisiting her blunder. Garry Loin Chops, Arch and Hutchy couldn't compose themselves................it was hilarious coming from Wilson who did not hesitate using the word one little bit. That's one for the new Bloopers special whenever it airs.

Something different. I hope it goes over well with the comedy.
