  4. You're right, its not important to be financially stable, its not important to have a strong membership base winning is the key here... If the AFL had to step into administer every team that can win a game there will be a big line. Think of what you're saying here - the issue is clearly winning, the AFL do not need to step into administer a club if the club is struggling to win. What could they do about it? Introduce a handy cap? If we are financially stable, if we have a strong support base and if we are a victorian team the AFL dont want anything to do with us

  9. I get worried I will be hit by a car, I get worried that I will loose my job, I get worried that my girlfriend will revoke my hall pass on Miranda Kerr - I get worried about alot of things, but I'm not worried about this. Not an ideal start to any season, but not a reason to start sending memberships back in.
  10. We are financially stable, have a strong membership base. Merely playing poorly is not a reason for the AFL to step in and administer the club. Far cry from your foot note: "But above all the din rose the cry 'no surrender'"
  11. Why do I get the impression you're they type of person who is constantly sick with hypochondria... stop being so melodramatic.
  12. I know what you mean. I did a bit of work experience and Channel 9 once and spent a few days talking to him. A [censored], but a really nice guy. I rate him.
  13. He will never play footy at an AFL level again. Not even Port's VFL team wanted him after he didnt turn up to trainings. The only hope is that he adopts the Fev model - try and find a VFL team who will take him, only play home games, and get paid by the opposition to play in his teams aways so they can get greater ticket revenue. Sad.
  14. Pre Sharks I would have said this would have been swept under the rug... Now with the Shark's axing and Dank's connection - 50/50 chance
  15. Lets be realistic - no other club will be investigated. This has been the most recent allegation of tanking and took 8 months - which could have been twice as long if appealed. No one is going to start to investigate Freo, Hawthorn, Carlton ect. Its too long ago and the AFL wont touch it with a ten foot pole. The most important thing is that the AFL clearly defines tanking. To date, no one - even McLachlan - can still to date define it. Lets move on.
  16. Whilst everyother journalist, including many at her own club acknowledge that Melbourne were found not guilty, but she has to say "Demons found guilty, fined"... always needs to get the last word in, at the cost of what little dignity and credibility she has left - if you open up the dictionary and look up Hubris you'll find her mug shot. Caroline Wilson I dislike you so much that if you needed some poo change for your parking - I wouldnt give you any. Your mother is a hampster, and your father smells like elderberries. With that great weight off my chest I'm done, opening a beer, and can't wait to put this crap behind us!
  17. Because we facilitated poor comments by CC and actions by DB. We werent charged for tanking... and ill tank that and $500k fine any day of the week than being charged for tanking and having our draft picks tankened away from us - I wouldnt say tanks to the AFL, but in my mind its the best outcome
  18. We were found not guilty of tanking
  19. I nearly cried of laughing when the first person to ask a question was Caroline Wilson asking why DB's head wasn't rolling
  20. Setting an example and to incourage greater controll of football culbs and their employees... a theme which will be seen over the whole year with Essendon and other clubs with drugs
  21. Make sure you have Microsoft Silverlight installed (takes a minute) and open it in Internet Explorer - they will play and ad and then it should be fine
  22. Got to pick up some cousins from school, anyone know if it will be on the radio?!?
  23. If anyone is having issues watching it make sure you install the program and open it in Internet Explorer http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-02-19/tanking-inquiry-live
