  1. sounds like a good description of the afl and its attendant fan club loosely described as the media 😂
  2. I'm not against an external review but don't kid yourselves the external "independent" reviews are the be all and end. the terms of reference (which you will probably never know) are absolutely key here most organisations who open themselves up to a review like to carefully curate the process, set the limits and importantly pay the reviewer who operates under conditions of privacy including the findings. we've all seen plenty of political reviews/inquiries/whatever where the end result was predetermined or at least managed. so, have a review but don't get your expectations unrealistically high
  3. and that petracca mug has taken on a new meaning
  4. did you try to barter them up to $50?

if the players come to the conclusion that tracc is now calling the shots in the football department i'm not sure how that is going to sit well with his team-mates. instead of fixing culture problems it could go the other way and create division - a'la mfc hollywood again. tracc may be very mature professionally but judging by his recent behaviour not so professional on an interpersonal level. interesting times ahead

and that would explain tracc's handshake and backslap of maynard next game after brayshaw incident. big hug coming up for darcy i'd guess

agree about the media brand manager aspect, however this still comes under the aegis of his player manager, after all this is an afl draft environment and operates under those rules and conditions, It just illustrates the player manager's lack of control and/or competence over his players total situation

rab, i think what you have just seen here is a very poorly orchestrated plot by petracca's player manager at the end of the day it is all the player manager's responsibility. i have little doubt he has been doing a lot of leaking under the illusion he was agent 86 maxwell smart
  15. I'll vote for any candidate who promises to totally ban the use of the word 'culture' in any mfc external communications whatsoever Can add 'learnings' too And bans any comunications with morris or mcclure

well now that carlton and the filth have failed to snare the trade of the century, does that mean the media will now demand the heads of the carlton and filth's ceo and president? they couldn't even drag it to trade week.

now just to be absolutely clear, did he say "the" melbourne club or "a" melbourne club just joshing best news is i've just got back the next 6 weeks of my life that i nearly lost though i'll probably need that to just digest wtf was all that
  22. yeah, i knew that, or at least i saw that. it is still just more indirect info look i don't doubt there is probably discussions at some level. there is not necessarily anything sinister with a least listening and exploring. i'm still not convinced on who reached out to who, journos have a way of flipping those conversations
  23. still hearsay (no criticism of chook intended) but let's assume he has talked to freo, he has friends there, they suggest a chat, what's the harm when i worked there were a number of times i had chats with other companies, at their behest, offering me a job. i wasn't looking for another job at the time but a combination of being curious and the fact they were well known to me , i went ahead with the chats. don't get me wrong, i'm not saying he doesn't have any interest because i just don't know but i'm still hopeful he's not and until i hear something a bit more authentic, i'll cool my jets
  24. but this is still hearsay
  25. how long ago did he just sign a very lucrative long contract???? rhetorical question
