No, I'm not saying they shouldn't be questioned. But PREVIOUS FDs have let us down. The CURRENT FD hasn't had enough time to do so yet. I'm more saying it, because lately, every single time a player gets mooted as being traded "he'll be a dead set star there" "he'll dominate there" etc etc I've just heard it SO often lately So many people seem sure that our ex players will be stars elsewhere Trust in the current FD to weed out excess baggage They've done a good job so far EDIT: also,on your last point. Ego and attitude have killed many a "potential stars" career - sometimes it is just attitude
-
This kind of throw away line always gets me If he will be a star, no questions asked, the FD wouldn't look at a.) moving him on and b.) moving him on at what appears to be for bargain basement prices Surely the FD would have a better idea about a players potential star qualities than we would?

But then the conversation turns to two other potential recruits. One has superior endurance and skill, but the other is harder and tougher. Neeld interrupts. His verdict offers the clearest insight yet into where he wants to take this club. "Eighty thousand people, Queen's Birthday, Collingwood, Dane Swan belting the s--- out of us, who are you backing when the heat is on in the middle of the ground?" he demands. The answers are fudgy so Neeld interrupts again: "I'm going with the grunt." From here
-
Neeld was the one that had the ultimate say in drafting Taggert. I'll find the article, but at the time it was being discussed with the selection at pick 36. Prendergast tossed up a names, Neeld says something along the lines of "I'll always go with grunt" (referring to Taggert)

Where would we find said photos?

The tooth pick, rubber bands and half tyre IS the time machine

Tyson has strong ties with Richmond (I believe his old man is the head of the coterie group I think if he comes back it will be to Richmond On the hypothetical, I'd be more inclined to grab someone in the draft It's not as though Tyson has had years of development pumped into him and ready to go, plus it'd take a while to get the GWS stench off him
-
Wasn't having a go at you at all by the way, I've just been reading it here and there Nothing to do with the GWS hypotheticals Everyone's tradeable in my book, for the right deal However, you'd have to make sure you're getting a worthy replacement For example, at the moment and for what we know about the top 3 / 4 draftees, I don't see much use in trading someone like Trengove for pick 2 when we don't know if Toumpas etc. is any better

Where is all this Frawley BS coming from? Think logically, if a bloke like Frawley wanted out, it would be reported everywhere, not on hack facebook sites

Likely this and Likey that, that's all Melbourne has been for the last decade A PROVEN Key Forward is infintely more important than a mid sized cameo playing forward -

Based on what exactly? -
I'm not fussed whether we trade / delist Cook, I don't see it in him personally, but this pisses me off He would've had the best programs and equipment at his disposal, yet NOW he decides to seek assistance with his weights Baffling

Surely not! This guy spewed unfounded rubbish about us this year -
Why don't you explain exactly how this occurred?
-
considering trade week doesn't commence (sorry....Gilette Trade Week) until Monday, I'd say that's very unconfirmed
-
Could be right
-
Ordinary player who always seemed to kick 3 or 4 against us Then again who hasn't
-
If Bailey and Prendergast where still captaining the ship......however....
-
No thanks, he's very ordinary
-
Like when they picked Ball when they could've had Judd?
-
I'm sorry, you've gone from bemoaning the fact we've been "quiet" on day the 1st 2 days of FA to....actually I don't even know what you're bitching about anymore
-
WE haven;t been silent though! We've been vocal! Byrnes toured our facilities today Tippett realistically will go to QLD Re Caddy Dawes Wellingham here you go Are happy now?
-
I misread You're still ignoring the facts that it's day 2 Many other clubs have been silent We've been far from silent Weve been linked to NUMEROUS players Wellingham, Dawes, Pearce, Monfries, Byrnes, Rodan, Lynch, Caddy and so on What more do you want us to publically do simply to appease impatient supporters? Sign a few FA's day 1 just for the sake of it Give me the definitive list of who you want us to trade for / get under FA
-
I was talking in reference to FA which is what you were bleating about You even stated you don't want trades as you want to keep draft picks Don't change the goal posts You said EVERYONE was having a crack Mate - we've been linked with nearly every single out of contract FA / Player at some stage in the last couple of months Don't act as though we're doing nothing
