2023 Player Reviews: #38 Oliver Sestan
Ollie is going to be a fascinating watch for me this year. Unusual body shape and looks shorter than his listed 188 cms as a result. No doubt as to his talent. Everyone seems to agree that his fitness will be a big part of his development. He could be the sort of kid who has another year at Casey and then explodes. Looking forward to seeing him gain AFL level fitness and give himself every chance to make it.

The No T$ No B$ Thread
First I don’t understand what the CO stands for, have I missed something? While I don’t see the need for a name change, I wouldn’t totally be against it. Perhaps the “DL no B$ Thread” would be acceptable. Anyway it does seem to have been a major success and why change a winning formula? It is the longest, most read, most posted, most pages thread in DL history, so no real need to change it.

Training Ground?
You couldn't watch games from the existing stands, unless the oval was built at the northern edge of the midfield and even then there would be viewing difficulties, with one reason being the huge screen in the way and it would be too far away from the game However, you could build a grandstand outside the track, if one oval was near enough. You also build a longer, lower grandstand, that would not impede the view from the existing stands, of the back of the race track. Another factor against the current stands, is the cost of opening and securing them them on footy days. It would be prohibitive. There would be no problem with food and drink catering at the other end of the midfield car park and there would probably be a permanent cafe in addition, near or in the new facilities. Architects will sort out all these issues, in a state of the art development. We have waited a long time, but with the opportunities available within this site, it will be worth the wait. We are really talking about a magnificent opportunity to have the best facilities in the AFL and be the envy of every other AFL club. It will also help to some degree with luring players from other clubs, if they are weighing up competing options. As the original Big Kev and also the one on DL would say, " Get Excited".

Maybe even the Puff the Magic Dragon medical supplies room.

Training Ground?
Perhaps we can have the Hurricane Carter boxing room.

2023 Player Reviews: #21 Matt Jefferson
You shouldn't be. He was a young kid playing his first year of senior footy, in a crowded key forward line, where he was often played up the ground, out of position. He took some beautiful contested marks against senior players and is a lovely kick for goal, which will be an asset in our inaccurate forward line. Give him another year of senior footy and another pre season and with BBB, Tom Mac and probably Schache gone he will get his chance.

Congratulations Goody
Congrats Goody and Kris and have a safe and happy holiday.

Training Ground?
Well actually he said none of those things. Roger Daltrey who got his directions mixed up, Mick Jagger who spoke about the hurricane and Peter Noone who liked Mrs. Brown’s daughter, all are in favour of the Dees new base at Caulfield Racecourse.

Lucas Cook was a different kettle of fish. My son watched his first training run with us and told me that Cook would never play a game with us, or in the AFL with anyone else. I laughed at the comment, as he was a high pick and it wasn’t possible we could get it so wrong. My son got it absolutely correct. Matt Jefferson is no Lucas Cook.
