  1. RIP Troy, still just so horrible 20 years on. Gone but not forgotten.
  2. Perhaps I can explain what I mean by second team. Dees are my only team, but I dislike the Suns winning less than any other team and wouldn’t mind if they make finals and would be totally thrilled for them to lose next year’s GF to us.
  3. I would think access would come via Neerim road, where you access the current football oval and stand.
  4. The Suns are my second team already and an eighth finish, knocking off the Blues in an elimination final would be a great result all round.
  5. Dp I agree with you on the hope for info soon and as I have said for about 2 years now, this will happen, barring an unforeseen event, that has the power to stop it. I am biased living close by, but have no doubts this will be a great project and precinct for the club to be based. As i said in an earlier post, the inside of the track is a massive area, that is now unused and the CRRT understand that this is a disgrace, in a suburb crying out for green space use by the community. Even with our ovals, I would estimate 2/3 of the inside track remaining for other uses probably still to be decided. The land is far too valuable to be a weed patch.
  6. The CRRT have nothing to do with the school project, as that is freehold land that is being purchased. Can posters please understand that the MRC is and the MFC will be, on Crown Land. Crown land and Freehold land are two different categories of land ownership.
  7. I see it in 2 factors: 1. Opportunity. 2. Ease of getting to the club. For opportunity, there is no obvious ruckman behind the 33 year old Max and several of our key Defenders are near the end. The Suns have 3 ruckmen behind the younger Witts, with Moyle and 2 others ahead of him at this stage and also younger key Defenders. For ease of getting to the club, the Suns have a number of Academy players they want next year and 2 at least at this stage are ahead of Kalani. A finals placing will restrict them to 2 Academy players, whereas with us, he will walk simply in on a matched bid.
  8. Just drove into the racecourse mid field area and it is massive.
  9. Congrats Tracc and have a great honeymoon and and then onto our next flag.
  10. She seems a very nice level headed girl as well as talented footballer and I can see her becoming a Dees' favourite.
  11. Or kids, 3 game memberships, restricted not full memberships etc, or the percentage stated was incorrect.
  12. That is not correct. It is 2024 members who vote for the 2024 AGM/Election.
  13. He achieved his aim, clickbait and people discussing it. Move on, it is an irrelevant article.
  14. Thanks GW and love your last line. I have a feeling about this kid, that I know others might not share, but we will see as the season unfolds. I also don't think it can be overestimated, the benefit that can come from a few indigenous boys being at the same club and carving out their footy careers, together with their brothers.
  15. Any more info on Roy, either what you saw today, or heard?
  16. Yes, the Redleg rubbish bin.
  17. Redleg replied to Dingo's topic in Melbourne Demons
    Possibly.
  18. Agree. It is harder to develop kids when you are getting smashed around the contest and generally on the scoreboard.
  19. The thing I noticed at my first training session this pre season on friday, was an improved level of fitness at this time of year and the increased number of bigger players I saw. I was shocked at the size of Fullarton, who is muscled up from this season and clearly has the body to impose himself on the field. We will see. Also the 2nd - 4th year players muscling up was apparent. We will definitely be a stronger side physically this season.
  20. Late scratching, pulled a shoe off and slight injury. Will run next week at Pakenham.

Tom has obviously been in the gym since the end of last season, as he is now massive. His upper body has transformed. It’s up to Tom in 2025 obviously, as it probably is a make or break year for him.
  22. That bloke in the number 5 jumper is simply a freak. Did some things yesterday that were pure magic. He looked really invested and to have him back and a fit 13, is beyond making a difference.
  23. And then off to the Redleg Urinal.
  24. School will work with the MFC to help the MFC get what it wants. There was also a bit about despite the Chairman’s dog walking, the MRC is working closely with the MFC. Second article saying the project could be finished by 2028 and club has had feasibility approved and has moved to funding stage. It is happening and hopefully finished in 4 years maybe less.
