NON MFC: Rd 19 2021
No, we will be pinged relentlessly in a millisecond, while the Digs will throw the ball and hold it while tackled with impugnity. Why should anything change. The GC have been slaughtered in the 3rd quarter by the umpires and their pathetic disposal. It is beyond belief how bad it has been this quarter. They need one quarter like their first 2 and they can still win.

Media saying we can’t play them next week because of COVID quarantine issues. They could get stronger with the return of Holman and Ellis later in the year. Anyway we have to beat them whenever we play, if we want to end up top 2.

I really thought they would chase Clarko hard, but he has said so many times that he is not leaving, that I now wonder if it is Ross Lyon.

Are they tanking to get a bottom pick for Cerra? Petrevski Seton wanted by Dockers and together with a high pick and something else, might get a deal done. PS: I know players don’t tank.

Just saw 2 players run within a couple of metres of the player with the mark and then a player swung 360 with the ball and then hold it, while he booked an uber and guess what, play on, nothing to see here. I think back to Gawn’s 50 penalty last week, which cost a goal, when he was about 30 metres from the player with the mark and was following his man and the Tracc holding the ball, after a 1 second tackle on him. I have loved the consistency of umpiring this season.

Take our opportunities will be a good start.

Trade Targets
He won’t be leaving Swans.

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
Well maybe one thing. They will get the best of the umpiring.

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
Well we can agree on that.

TEAMS: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I was wondering why they wouldn't give him a freshen up and play Weid, who can ruck and play forward.
-
Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
Watch a 15-5 pop up for them even in the wet.

How many shots at goal did you miss?

If the Maynard move to us happens, a few will be let go.

Dermott Brereton on Bayley Fritsch
TBH I can't understand what Dermie is on about. I looked back at the Fritta "small bump" on Grainger-Barass and there is nothing to see. If he king hit someone, like Dermie did to plenty of opponents, I would understand, but this is a nothing small bump. Very strange.

Trade Targets
Hawks game wouldn't have helped Hibberd, he was terrible. He has played well in other games though. Pretty sure he will get another year. Hore plays a bit taller and Lockhart is a little more versatile, but obviously can't crack the team atm. A few will go no doubt. I can see Bowey as our Caleb Daniel and I am keen on Deakyn Smith, who is more like Salem, but with extra aggression. Don't know about Declase and Turner looks more a key back. Petty doing ok and Tomlinson to return, so a good hbf could be looked at but we do have options.

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
I never have one with any of our games.

Goody on Choco & Yze
Brad Scott still in the race.

Goody on Choco & Yze
Do you know how Brodie Kemp is going with them. At one stage DL's were very keen to get him.

Goody on Choco & Yze
I see it more as a blue jumper option.

If the season ended now…
Agree, but you need a distraction from the current problems.

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
Well we already know who will be ahead in the free kicks and umpiring generally.

If the season ended now…

The trade Jack Viney thread
On that chart, Gus kicks less than 1 from 6 shots and Clarry at nearly 1 in 4. Saturday Hawks mids scored 5 goals to our none. A slight improvement by our mids and we probably beat Hawks, Crows and Giants.

Leading to the pockets is IMO an instruction from the coaches. It is clearly based on keeping possession and IMO, affects our chances of scoring from inside 50 entries. That is probably borne out by our scores.

Agree. That's what leads to that idiotic attempted pass by Fritta, when 40 out on the boundary and we are leading by 5 points, deep into the last quarter. He passed to a small forward, with 3 Hawks defenders all around him, to try and get it to a better scoring position, when a point would have won us the game and even at that stage, wasted a bit more time. The result was the obvious spoil, with the ball rushed up the other end of the ground. While I am at it, where were the leaders telling him to take his 30 seconds and make sure he gets a score at least with the kick?
