  1. Careful. You and many well recognised posters here said the same for Rivers back in September '09 and here in August '09. Here's another.. Also this MacDonald for whom ? thread .

And um...I told you so regarding Geelong being competitive (top 4) again for the Premiership (last October), despite losing Ablett to GC. Much to your disgust at the time. Here it is ... Chris Scott thread .

Don't they look all good on top ?! Must have some great leaders hey ? And they've blooded some youth as stated last October by Scott.

    So, be careful on Morton...

    edit: there's this pearler too

Ahhh HT - Keeping EMOland accountable...well done

  2. Yep, Dick loves playing against us.

I remember he had a day out in the '09 game when it was pissing down. He sure likes playing in the wet.

Dick seems to go hard against us...

  3. Now please, let's move back to the topic.

    Do we have to?

Ok then... During the north melbourne game I was sitting in the players area - or rather where many of injured etc players and wags were sitting. Tom was sitting away from the group with an older gentleman (I suspect his father?) and was certainly "isolated" from the group.

  4. I've got work, home, and iphone and I am sure that the mods are comfortable with saying that they have never seen those three IPs under another name.

    Just don't need to.

rpfc is doing the job of multiple posters anyway...

I took your word for it the first time... just stating fact.

Conversely, sometimes I suspect the volume of posting by some could only be explained by a team of posters.

  5. The mods can tell you it isn't me (IP address).

Nice try, that's way too easy to spoof...but I'll take your word for it anyway.

My favourite was songwriting stewie... I have never watched FG but it was a classic take on the diatonic chord progression...

  6. Lawyer here...

We won't hold that against you B)

    this is a scully thread

Hilarious! It was always going to go that way despite the OP's best efforts for it not to. LOL

Hopefully we have learnt that at least one of the TS rumours is complete shisen.

  7. Jones is not a C Grader, he is singly the most under-rated player at our club.

Strong, skilled, resilient, hard running ball winners are hard to find, particularly at the MFC. Jones has a tendency to take too much reponsibility upon himself, therefore tries to break the extra tackle, kick to the corridor when it's not on etc. He has kerbed this to a large degree.

He is an attacking player with a mindset that I would dearly love to rub off onto a number of his team-mates. Put some better players around Chunk he will improve, not become obsolete. Think Dane Swan and what he was doing a few years ago.

Last year Mick Malthouse said on SEN that he viewed Jones to be our most important midfielder, and the one you needed to stop the most for his ability in the packs.

Opinions are like [censored]. Everyone has one. Jones isn't a C grader, he's clearly better than that.

    I'm on this wagon.

I admit to steaming from the ears when he forgets his limitations, however.... Chunk's spirit & grit is the epitome of what our bunch of talented under achievers should be striving for as a standard.

  8. Missed one

Liam is damn lucky he's not at casey. His second efforts are non existent. His attack on the loose ball is not anywhere near the required intensity. his attempts to mark when the heat is on are what one might consider "bruise free footy"

It's the big league now and he needs to be held to the dame standard as everyone else.

Agree on what he needs to do but Casey or a starter for mine.

He is one of the few who can break a game open. With better structure across the ground and better delivery, he can capitalize.

I hope the FD can get your points across without the slap in the face (yet).

  9. B: James Frawley, Jared Rivers, Joel Macdonald

HB: Tom Scully, Jack Watts, James Strauss

C: Jordan Gysberts, Brent Moloney, Jack Trengove

HF: Cale Morton, Colin Sylvia, Jeremy Howe

F: Max Gawn, Brad Green, Jamie Bennell

Foll: Stefan Martin, Nathan Jones, Jordie McKenzie

I/C: Neville Jetta, Liam Jurrah, Daniel Nicholson, Michael Evans

Emg: Matthew Bate, Sam Blease, Tom McDonald

In: James Strauss, Tom Scully, Jack Trengove, Max Gawn, Jeremy Howe

Out: Matthew Bate, Michael Newton (Foot), Matthew Warnock, Ricky Petterd, Addam Maric

New: Max Gawn (Sandringham Dragons), Jeremy Howe (Hobart)

The future has almost taken control of this team. Sometimes injuries aren't such a bad thing

    Liam to be super sub

    No bolding for the Gyzzzzz?

No to LJ as the sub.

  10. The very act of making signs that plead for Scully to not go reeks of desperation and is also suggestive.

We want to remove the very possibility of that option from his mindset when he is playing.

His match-day experience playing for us should be one of overwhelming support, not of sporadic reminders of the choice he later faces and how pathetically desperate we are to hang onto him.

I don't agree that there is any way your sign tactic could have a positive effect.

    I just don't see it.

If I were him, I'd cringe.

Well at least you got the spelling right, although I believe my attempt is equally applicable in an alternate context.

  11. I'm with Artie & C&B on this.

Fans pleading for a players loyalty wreaks of weakness.

Personally I prefer an air of "we're heading for success with or without you (preferably with)".

Signs, calls etc of admiration send a good message. Just no begging.
