Been a long time fan of Wheaters.........when he is on song, he is a very good player for us! Contrary to posts in other threads I have read, he should not be traded or delisted at year end.

This is probably the most stupid comment I have ever read on a footy forum!

It's great to see him improve his game. I'm a fan of Jamar as well, and it's now up to him to lift again, and keep improving! White won't be around forever, so there is a place for both of them at the club IMO. There is no way known you would get rid of Jamar.........look at Collingwoods feeble ruck duo today of Fraser and Bryan (ex Carlton).

Supporters can comment all they want............my only advice is to take comments with a grain of salt! There are a lot of people who get mighty worked up about such topics......but why? Sure.....they are passionate, love the club, believe strongly in what they are saying.......but apart from watching the games, and reading the papers, have no idea what goes on behind the scenes. Yet supporters still demand the coach be sacked, footy department be sacked etc......making calls on peoples employment and lives with nothing more than an armchair view of the situation. It's a bit of fun to get caught up in the mob mentality, and cry for the coach to be sacked, but is it really the right decision? I don't know.......I have a general feeling it may help going forward, but I don't really have a clue. I'll leave it to the people who work day in day out at the club, and have a greater insight into the situation than I could ever hope to have.

I tend to agree.......as much as we are all armchair experts, we have no real idea about the inner workings of the club, the approach Daniher uses, the respect or otherwise he has of the players, the quality of the assistants etc etc etc. I have enough faith in the current board who are working hard for the club at present to make an informed and clear thinking decision in regards to the coach for next season. If it is Daniher, then so be it. I have stated previously that I believe a change in coach is due, and could be a real positive, but that is based on nothing more than a "gut feel" and a few assumptions I have made from watching the team play.

Time for the Newton hysteria to end. He will get his chance when the time is right!

Give me a break........Bell has been one of our most consistent players this year, and yesterday was a standout game for him. It was his best game, but he has been good all year! You haven't been watching him much this year if you think it's only one game!

Add this thread to the "I was wrong" file in a few months! I cannot believe the week to week mentality of some supporters. Thank god club decisions aren't made by supporters. Where is the "Scott Thompson is a dud" thread after he was shut down yesterday? Guaranteed to be on its way!

Different types of players, and as such, should be judged differently. You don't have to like Yze, but at least respect his career......he has been a terrific player for our club whether you agree or not.

No wonder we have threads saying "we need champions".......any MFC player anywhere near that status is completely shredded by our own supporters!!!!!! Yze has been a star for the MFC! He may not have been a Robert Harvey, or Scott West in and under ball magnet, or a high leaping key forward, but he has been a game breaker on his day, and one of the most gifted players we have seen wear the red and blue......and a life member of the MFC to boot! You would struggle to find a more consistent player at the club over the past 10 years.......we may be 0-9 but lets not dismiss some of our players who have been great servants for our club.

I don't think he is too bad a player Jason Cloke, and was stiff not to get picked up. Worth considering IMO.....we are hardly overloaded with key backs at the minute.

9/10.....it can't get much worse, and every round we get one week closer to a win!

A mate of mine who is a Hawks fan said he definitely got the team quicker, but they did have quite a few soft tissue injuries, and that soon as Clarkson arrived, he showed him the door and recruited one of the fitness guys from the Power when he was there.
