Stats that matter - Dees improvement under Craig
jumbo returns replied to bandicoot's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes. Probably. Reject what? More mediocrity? Meekness? Becoming completely non-competitive? I'm not rejecting the reality. And 10 more tackles doesn't inspire me at all. -
Maybe. But we're not Liverpool, with a massive bank account, incredible international following and SUCCESS.

Stats that matter - Dees improvement under Craig

P_Man, it's the whole thing. This whole thread has annoyed the hell out of me. Every poster potted Neeld, but here's the deal....is it conceivable that these results are due to improvement and games together? Despite Craig? Many will refute this idea, but it's possible. Sorry, I don't know who should have been the interim coach.....mebbe Rawlings? Never, ever angry with you, P_Man - we have terrific footy debates. They're still not running, chasing, blocking, shepherding! -
A song? How quaint!

I don't really know and I don't really care. These blokes are pea hearts (apologies to Nate Jones and Wonderboy) and they play as soft as butter. Coach killers, coupled with massive egos. -

Jump on me all you want, but I can't see how pandering to egos acquaints to improvement. Neeld's gone, half of his crew should have gone with him. Too much residual. -

Oh yeah, we're killing it under Craig. Got a stat for 'Western Star?' -
We're all like your namesake. Let's see it come to fruition first.
-
OD, we've been giving games to players who have been less than 'okay.' - for years! I think he shows something.
-
I thought he played okay against GCS, managed to break the lines and I think he kicked a nice goal? He's actually quite tall and pretty quick. He finds space. Either way, he's played okay at Casey and needs the last 3 or 4 games to see if there's any promise.
-
Anyone happy with Blease's game? Lightning fast, wow factor, but....... I think he should play, but doesn't get back defensively enough. James Strauss must play. I really like him, time for the new coach to make a call on this fella.

That's fantastic news! Another little Demon supporter! All the best to you and your partner.

Congrats stuie! Number 3?
-
Doesn't Sylvia play with op? Can it be countered by supportive strapping? Mebbe the trainers are still working with the bandages to see what allows freedom with minimal discomfort?
-
You're right. I was cross with his response and reacted accordingly. I'm not convinced about Craig. Sorry.
-
Unfortunately, you don't get it. That's okay. I understand that you don't understand. Hang in there.
-
I think your anger is misdirected atm, WYL. It's not Jack, it's the entire zeitgeist of the club.
-
Mate, I'm having a shocker and I'm close to giving up on footy. Django tells me to hang in there, and I'm trying, but we have massive problems, notwithstanding a very ordinary list. I'm traumatised at the thought of another wasted draft. Btw, there's no hair

Okay, I'll bite. The Geelong loss was a disaster. You spent so much of your time potting Mark Neeld that you think Craig has 'fixed' things - surely you jest? Who picks a team that's full of talls in those atrocious conditions? Who allows a Brownlow medallist to rack up 30+ possessions, with NOT ONE opponent on him? Geelong players were laughing, clapping, high fiving....the ultimate disrespect. Make no mistake, the 10 goals loss was awful and Saturday night was not much better. On top of that, we have players threatening not to re-sign if a certain coach had stayed. What happens? The reactive CEO, under the orders of the AFL, sacks the coach. Great! We roll on with undisciplined players, down hill skiers and threats of player walk outs. As one poster so aptly put it...for this club, 'what does pillow taste like?'

Thanks RM. She's a rare talent.

All of them. Even more so in 98.

I had so much optimism at the start of this year, but meek efforts have flattened me.
-
Yes and no. I'm saddened by this team. I think I'm pining at the imminent loss of Mitch Clark forever and the complete [censored] up that will occur in the draft. When Wight, Febeys, Lovell, Lovett, Grinter, Stynes, Viney, Lyon, Wilson, Farmer used to grace the MCG, EVERY team shat themselves playing against us. Now they laugh and play up to the crowd.

WYL, I concur with you. Soft list, coach killers. Attract a coach? Gotta be kidding. Neil Craig lost me after the pathetic selections and total inactivity against the Cats. If Neeld was bad, Craig is a disaster.
