  1. I see where you're coming and agree with your sentiments; however, the modern midfielder is quick, fit and strong. At the moment, only Nate Jones fits that bill, with JV coming along nicely. The template for a modern midfielder lies in an Ablett, O'Meara, Kennedy or a Pendlebury. Blease has the potential, but will the boy work hard enough to build his aerobic capacity? McKenzie should always play a negating role and I agree about JT being a solid flanker.
  2. Sorry, I took the bait. I agree and will respect Admin's wishes.
  3. Magner will not solve our midfield problems - he is a good VFL player. Better to pump games into Blease, Toumpas and M Jones.
  4. Funnily enough, we're both on the same page, except for the coach. There's so much to sort, I believe that he needs more time.
  5. I'm not your pal and never will be. I'm irrelevant? Your constant belittling of other posters, your shallow assessments and hand wringing disposition make you a disgrace. Grow up and quit the hyperbole.
  6. Thanks PMan. I enjoy the debate with posters like yourself. I just don't think he's been given a decent run at it. Even Bailey got four....long....years.
  7. You're. No. Give him a midfield and then let's see. I reckon the culture is almost sorted. Neeld is building relationships with those who understand what it takes to belong and succeed in an elite competition. Those who chose not to are kicking off the dew in the ressies.
  8. Contradiction, after contradiction, after contradiction. Any chance you might post something with substance, with merit, with awareness?
  9. Only 3, perhaps 4 mids on the list. The Swans have a dozen or so players that can rotate through the middle. The irony compounds itself as under Daniher, we had too many mids, not enough KPPs. Under a new regime, Neeld must be given the opportunity to see if he can coach or not.
  10. I think, could be wrong, but he categorically stated that he'd walk away from footy if he couldn't go the Pies. I'm not too worried about Tapscott's selection too much....I'm still annoyed about how we stuffed up our high picks. FWIW, Gawn needs to step up, allow a forward line of Dawes, Clark, Hogan, Watts, Barry/Davey, Howe, Byrne etc to function. I'd be taking a mid, then another mid, then to top it up, another mid.
  11. Inaccurate, narcissistic drivel.
  12. Mitch Clark says welcome.
  13. This forum is all opinion and hearsay. Why should his contract be paid out? The blue print means he may stay. I don't think you're qualified to talk about payouts, with all due respect.....
  14. How do you know it's the payout amount? How do you know there will be any payout amount? A bit simplistic, yeah?
  15. Zilch. Nada. Zip. He's just fuelling the pathetic 'Sack Neeld' chant without offering to help or offering an alternative. Superficiality at its best.
  16. Not having a dip at you, but I always take this info with a grain of salt. Ball is pushing 30 and needed success quickly. Caddy is having a great time playing for the ressies.
  17. I see where you're coming from mjt.Hasn't been himself and looking at the nature of the injury, did they rush him back too soon? I fear that he may have suffered a relapse? Anyone in the medical/physio field out there that can chat about this?
  18. Oh, okay. I, like you, am worried too. It's been over a year. I hope the big fella comes back.
  19. Keep Blease. Needs another preseason and must play (barring injury) 12 - 15 games in a row. Give him a job every week.
