Talk about off topic. I am an avid fan. Look for Ardberg and Laphroaig (both Islay malts) - stick with the basic Ardberg, but some of the (dearer) quarter cask Laphroaig versions are worth the extra. Talisker from the Isle of Skye is another beauty.

Well WJ, you are an an admin! Go to it.

The Unrestricted Free Agency trade period finishes Oct 19. If he is to go to another club by this method, it must be by then. (Not sure if training has even started by then.) Permission to train would only apply if he is to go into the draft (and rookie draft is only way he can be rookied).
-
Not sure (hope?) about the 10 years, but otherwise agree.
-
No support is unconditional! Would I support any other AFL club? NO! Ed: Absolutely NO.
-
I'd take Giles in a heartbeat.
-
Actually thought that Rioli's mark early in the year (against the filth?, over Shaw?) would be the only threat to Howe's mark against the swans.

Source?

Fitzpatrick strung together a lot of games ate the end of the year at Casey, before playigng for MFC against Freo in last round. To suggest he then HAS to go off for surgery and not play in Casey finals is just ludicrous. It would be more convincing if he went in for surgery instead of playing against Freo. MFC treats the Casey players with contempt. You play footy to win; why would any stay with Casey? 2 years in a row now; did the same thing to Sandy in the Bailey days

Cats didn't go for Byrnes as a replacement for Johnson even tho' they were considered a real chance for the flag; likely to be their last chance for a few years. Instead they went for a couple of novices who played poorly. Clearly, Scott does not rate him. Why should we?
-
Bollocks. The filth and hawthorn both tanked to get the players that are now (part of) their core; both won flags.
-
The issue is that we have a "cargo cult" mentality; a magical arrival will fix all. While some on this forum seem to think this, I don't think the club does. Our last 3 coaches have all been low key. As for the "tanking", the club took the legitimate opportunity to maximaise its draft picks in 1 year (as 4 or 5 other clubs have done to their betterment). We have failed over the last decade to develop a core of hard, hardworking and skilled senior players. Neitz was the last, and there were very few in the 6 or so years before he retired.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SHANNON BYRNES
Mono replied to Pates's topic in Melbourne Demons
Byrnes is 29 in April; 108 games in 9 years at Geelong. 175cm. No thanks; why would he want to come to MFC anyway. He might be cheap, but we have [censored] loads of salary cap to fill. We don't need NQR players from anywhere. -
Herald Sun reports Gysberts to be shown the door...Neeld has gone mad!!!
Mono replied to Tex's topic in Melbourne Demons
If any of this is remotely on the ball, it could always be Gysberts who is wanting to move on (offer from another club maybe). Its not MFC wanting him to go. Maybe. -
232 posts, but still just a rumor............ Good grief.
-
184 posts here, but still the only report on Cook leaving is the HUN; no club announcement, no other article. Hmmmm.... rumor only?
-
Time for Mitch to be added I reckon...........
-
It would be good hear this from Jurrah.
-
Moloney aint the sharpest tool in the box, that's for sure.
-
Doubt he would have gone down this road without a significant level of interest; maybe some real offers? Interesting to see where he ends up.
-
From the club website now: “The Club will continue to provide personal support for Liam." WTF?
-
Valenti was/is better than Magner or Couch. Neither of these guys will be here in 12 months. Ed: great effort/recognition for Luke Tynan
-
This was always going to end in tears. And to think of the resources poured into Jurrah; the FOOTBALL MANAGER FFS went to Alice Springs to hold his hand; endless leaves of absence; all paid for by the MFC. Hope he reads Stynes book some time, but doubt it. He owes big time. We are not a welfare agency. I hope like hell this cures many on this board and elsewhere of the cargo cult mentality, the quick/one fix. Jurrah had freakish athletic ability but little else. No intensity, no dedication, no professionalism, no ability to train at the required level. AND NO LOYALTY. Every player puts their family 1st, just ask Clarke. That doesn't mean you stuff everyone else that looks out for you, or puts in for you. Just BS. Good riddance.

'Cause no one gives a rats arse. We are all sick of it; over it.

3 Years for Jamar and McKenzie - seriously?
Mono replied to Watts Jurrah Dunn?'s topic in Melbourne Demons
You can add Garland to the 3 yr WTF list.
