After all the drama of the offseason and the so called united front the footy club makes you believe they possess coming into tonight’s game, that was pathetic. It clearly looked like players were not ready mentally and weren’t composed enough to execute the “new” game plan. That falls back on the leaders of the club and the coach. i know it’s round 0 etc however we made a huge mistake letting Yze leave, he should be our current coach. Yes Goodwin won us a premiership and the usuals will say he deserves time but how much time? Things need to change dramatically for us to turn this around.

I wish Yze had of hung around for a tad longer 😏

TMAC is not the answer and unfortunately well past it. You can say "pay respect" etc however if he is playing at CHB, we are in huge trouble.

I’m hoping Gus’s brave decision lights a fire in the boy’s stomachs that gives them some perspective of how fickle their time in footy can be and really drives them to attack the upcoming season. With all the external noise happening at the moment, this may centre everyone and give them some focus.

Completely gutted though I’m proud of Gus to prioritise his health over the game he loves.

Hold onto the picks we have unless we can snag pick 1. I would much prefer two high quality players at 6 and 11 than one with pick 2/3.

The word easily needs to be tempered. He played 23 games in 2021 for 30 goals and has only one other time, during his 12 years at the Dees, kicked more than 26 goals in a season.

Either one of McQualter or Stinnear would be a great appointment.

My kingdom for an imposing power forward in the Tex Walker mould. This is a must this off-season. An actual forward to coach the forwards would also be a good start.
