		CHANGES: QF vs Sydney

I understand where you are coming from Red. Joel is unlikely to be a 'game changer', but that's not his role as medi sub. I just think he has the attributes / flexibility to adequately slot-in in a variety of positions around the ground, and to do so without the need to make significant 'in-game' changes to team structures.

		CHANGES: QF vs Sydney

Well we know we’ve hit a ‘sweet spot’ at the right time, when recent discussion in the Changes thread is focused primarily on who will be our medi sub. For what it’s worth, I think Joel Smith’s versatility gives him the edge over other candidates.

		PODCAST: QF Preview vs Sydney

I found the Ian Munro interview with @Whispering_Jackand @Demonland totally absorbing, and a real ‘eye opener’. I reckon ‘Between the Flags” is a must read, especially for Demonlanders of my vintage, who lived through our ‘golden era’ of the1950s and 1960s, and stuck fat with our beloved Demons through the (seemingly) interminable 57 year drought. Hey Mrs Deeoldfart, I now know what I want for Fathers Day.

Thanks for another top notch pod guys. Consensus amongst the panel that we will win the QF. I like that!

		PODCAST: QF Preview vs Sydney

		Q. Assuming Salo is fit, can we fit both him and Bowser into the team? They both add value with their ball use.

		CASEY: QF vs Sydney

I was impressed by Casey’s game plan, and in particular their ‘team’ defence, which to my eye, is clearly modelled on the way our AFL team seeks to play. Transition of players into the senior team should be relatively seamless in terms of their understanding of what needs to be done in the heat of battle, and when.

POSTGAME: AFLW Rd 01 vs Adelaide

Outstanding season opener, away from home and against the reigning champs. Loved the tackling pressure, handball to advantage and composure of our defence. Fantastic stuff!

Great work again guys. Thank you for the time, effort and love for the MFC, that is obvious in every episode.

		2022 All Australian Squad

Kossi a bit stiff I reckon, but there are a few decent small forwards around at the moment, and the selectors would only be looking at goals kicked and not the less obvious stuff.

		PODCAST: Rd 23 vs Brisbane

This is the first time I can recall a Pod thread running ‘hot’ to the point of boiling. We are obviously on the threshold of another finals campaign, but it also speaks volumes about the work of @demonlad, @george_on_the_outerand @binman. Really looking forward to tonight’s episode.

		PODCAST: Rd 23 vs Brisbane

You stole my thunder rpfc. MFCSS tells me that the ease with which we were able to win said more about Brisbane’s ineptitude than our brilliance, but obviously, I hope I’m wrong. However, wherever the ‘balance’ lies, a win like that must be a huge fillip for our confidence going into finals.

		CASEY: Rd 22 vs Brisbane

Agree JVR was good for a half, and our best KPF by a long way. Weid, M.Brown and J.Smith should have shown a lot more today, just to stake a claim as 'next cab off the rank' should they be needed. Weid probably holds pole position for that role right now, but gee .........

		CASEY: Rd 22 vs Brisbane

Agree ......... our AFL team is probably close to settled right now (barring injury). I thought JVR was good for a half (leaving the other potential KPFs in his wake). JJ looked quite proppy to me.

		CASEY: Rd 22 vs Brisbane

Fair point, but there's still a sub role potentially up for grabs, as well as possible injury replacements (heaven forbid).

		CASEY: Rd 22 vs Brisbane

Very disappointing. Casey looked lethargic, some of them completely disinterested at times. Nobody put a hand up for a senior gig imo, and that includes several who had a real opportunity to stake a claim.

		VOTES: Rd 23 vs Brisbane

An incredibly even team performance, so there will be plenty of unlucky players who miss out. This is my crack at it: 6. Petracca 5. Lever 4. Oliver 3. Pickett 2. Jackson 1. Rivers Then, the next batch: Hibberd, Brayshaw, Hunt, May, etc(a new recruit)

		GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane

Stuck in a hospital bed after a (minor) mishap yesterday. A win tonight, by a big enough margin to grab 2nd spot, will be just the tonic I need. Go Dees!

		Ben Rutten

Haven’t read most of this thread, but I regard the way Essendon is treating Rutten, as akin to cheating on your long term partner, in public. The relationship is no longer tenable.
