  1. Poor kid doesn't even stand a chance with that 'religiously judgemental and narrow minded train of thought'..... We've all read the poisonous bile and nasty vitriol you spew at the current government in power in the general discussions forum and most let it go (because its, well, you), but bringing an innocent kid into it is hitting way below the belt in my opinion. Save your political opinions for the general discussions forum please.
  2. This^ I really do hope for Toumpas' sake that his career is revived at PA. He's a top bloke by all accounts. The reality is that although he looked great as a junior in SA with his skills the speed and intensity of AFL football was something he couldn't handle or transition to.
  3. Don't think he'll be there at our 3rd pick but geez this kid can play. Reminds me of Sam Mitchell but with better breakaway speed. Puts his head over the ball but also has very quick, clean disposal on the outside. Luke Partington overcame adversity to star for SA
  4. The sad case is that the 03 draft was a stinker. If you look at the players in the top 40 taken after them the only players better were David Mundy at 19 and Jed Adcock at 33. Hell, better players were taken in the rookie draft. Our own Aaron Davey at 3, Andrew Carrazzo at 2, Nathan Foley at 4 and Paul Duffield at 10.
  5. Agreed. Unless Frost goes forward as Hogan said he would in a recent interview.
  6. Bombers are very keen on him. Could take him with their 2nd pick.
  7. Fair enough. IMO that players is/will be Riley Bonner. I hope who we take at 3 & 7 end up being the 1st & 2nd best kids.
  8. Regardless of what he looks like becoming. It seems from all reports we are heavily into Parish so it may not be that clear cut. I think the end result of the top ten is wide open this year. Apparently the Saints were a lock to take Petracca until the last couple of days last year too.
  9. I'd say Weitering is an absolute lock for 1 but what if Brisbane took someone else at 2? Would we take Schache at 3?
  10. Collins reminds me of a young Danny Hughes. Back to Weideman though, I think we would take him if he was still there at 7 as we need someone to form a long term duo with Hogan. Imagine Hogan, Weideman and a jack in the box Smith in the forward line! Question is who would we take if Weideman is gone at 7? Even though he is slated to go late first round I would take Riley Bonner from SA. Plays as a backman but IMO he will develop into the best mid from this draft.
  11. I agree.I added the clip of Weideman talking about Collins as someone else had mentioned Collins if Weideman went before 7. Only problem is that other than Weitering and Schache, Weideman is the only other potential tall forward around the 7 mark. Although we do have Joel Smith as a tall forward addition. I think he was kept under wraps and is going to be twice the player Howe was.
  12. Do you even know of Collins? Have you seen him play? The kid will be a gun. I was just constructively adding to the conversation and replying with information worth adding. Also Viney played in the same team as Toumpas. Collins was playing on and against Weideman. Watch the video before making flippant remarks.
  13. On Collins. Weideman himself mentions that Collins is the hardest player he has played against.See Here -
  14. Someone here mentioned they went past goschs paddock and saw Viney, Petracca and someone who looked like Daniel Mcstay all having a kick. I'll bet it was Joel Smith. Same height, weight and similar looks etc. I wonder if they could shed some more light on the subject?
  15. He's more the class side of things. Certainly not forgotten. I think he has the best chance of a brownlow from our current crop if he can regain last years form and build from there.
  16. Yep. With Salem, Viney,Vandenburg, Jones, Kennedy, Kent, Brayshaw, Melksham and Petracca rotating through the midfield they will get the nickname the 'wrecking ball'! Other teams will be too scared to go for contested possessions. Inside/outside class from Tyson, Vince, Stretch, Garlett, ANB and Watts. Edit - forgot Jones! Double Edit - How the hell could I leave out Vandenburg!!!
  17. Riley Bonner. In 3-5 years everyone will be saying he should have gone at 1.
  18. Video of Mahoney trying to get Grubbys attention outside AFL house.
  19. Yes because Toumpas' touches were so effective..... It's not just touches either it's what effect you have on the outcome in a contested situation. That's really when Toumpas shone. The only problem was that the shine was from his eyes in the headlights. Nice bloke Toumpas but rarely had a big impact.
  20. Correct. As is the rest of the post I was responding to. With Frawley it was simply a deal too good to refuse. Happy to have Brayshaw in place of Frawley.
  21. http://m.collingwoodfc.com.au/video/2015-10-19/trade-daily-done-dealFirst interview with the filth he confirms that he and Buckley had been organising for a fair while and that the Bali meeting was just a catch up for a drink and to celebrate their shifty dealings.
  22. Collingwood scuppered nothing. It was Collingwood all along. Buckley and Howe had been organising it for a long time.
  23. This is 100% correct. I always admire a player wanting to go to the club they supported growing up but this turd knew for a long time where he was going and chose to keep us in the dark. If he had have given us a bit of notice of his intentions I'd respect the move. He didn't so he can GAGF. He admits on his first interview that he and that slimeball Buckley had been organising this for a fair while and the meeting in Bali was just a 'catch up'. See it here http://m.collingwoodfc.com.au/video/2015-10-19/trade-daily-done-deal
  24. We are nearly done weeding the pea hearts and nqr's. FFS it's time to get behind our boys and show them some [censored] support.
