How could I miss the incomparable Whispering Jack? Sorry WJ. Shall I rank you ahead of Mr Mueller?

Demon Jacks
The best guide to find Melbourne players is the MFC Heritage numbers list. After my memory effort, I cheated and consulted this list and discovered a grand total of 53 Demon Jacks. Before the 1950s there were over 40. Popular name then! From my time following the Dees, I did forget Jack Grimes, Jack Henderson and going back to the 50s Jack Thomson. So 6 out of 9 is a bare pass! So Google list was pretty sparse wasn't it? Thanks Rod.

Demon Jacks
My memory is poor and I have only managed to come with just 6 Melbourne players with first name of Jack. No particular order mine are; Jack Steele Jack Billings Jack Trengove Jack Watts Jack Viney Jack Mueller (In my view the greatest of the Jacks.) Can my fellow posters help swell this list?

Surprise, surprise. This is one time that I agree with you wholeheartedly Doc. Very good points made about the situation needing clarification.

Not funny. Nasty comment.

He won't.

Nasty man.

What I don't understand. If He did all these so called terrible things why did the club keep selecting him week after week? Cannot recall any incident with him all through 2025.

You certainly really hate an absolute champion Doc. Poor show!

Absolutely agree with this. GWS are taking the MFC for a ride.

I wish posters would not say 'We did We did that' 'We' incorporates all of us and going by responses on this forum, there are many people like myself who do not put themselves in the WE category. Should read 'The MFC did this etc, etc.'

Glad you think there will be good times again! I admire your supreme optimism very much. Sadly, we are only going to go one way, downhill. We just don't have the cattle to go upwards.

Still one of our best despite nat being at his very top level. Saw signs of that high level in the final match of the season. Then the big boot! Strange indeed.

Absolutely spot on Norm. This club administration is beyond belief. A player as good as Clarry being virtually given away free. I can hear the Giants laughing so loudly at our incompetence. After 65 years of membership I am joining with a few of my mates in refusing to renew my membership next season. Sad, I know, but that's how we feel. Of course, we will always be demons but now we can't see much hope of improvement for a long long time.

Club put Clarry through the ringer. He had every right to spit the dummy after the way the club treated him. Natural, human reaction. Thanks Mr King.

You know this for sure Norm?

Swap for Langdon? NO NO NO NO!

Apart from being very outspoken about getting booted out of the club (and he had good reason to be hurt), what has Clarry done off field this year to upset the club? Anyone know?

Another McKenzie! I like that.

He would have the main say. That's for sure. He is the boss.

Clarry, in a late season interview, talked about how he was looking forward to further developing our new game plan in 2026. He sounded excited by the thought. The along comes Mr King and his cohorts.

Absolutely insane thinking by MFC

Beautifully put 58er. You have summed up the Clarry situation perfectly. Thanks for your words.

DR Gonzo declined to accept my challenge. Hmm!😄
