5 yrs in… JVR is well past due to fire! Let’s go young man.

Geelongs Shannon Neale went down in the practice match last night against Carlton with a possible PCL after a ruck run and jump. Hopefully AFL feeling the heat after big Maxy threw them under a bus re injury concerns. Edit: Geelong confident it’s not PCL but that was first concern. Check AFL app for more.

Anything for Daicos to win. He gets 10 kick ins a game pushing him up to 30+ disposals which will give him the brownlow.

I hope we become this seasons surprise and do what Hawthorn did and come out of no where. Unsure we will but imagine peoples faces.

I don’t get how Walsh got more than Curnow. Walsh isn’t bad but he’s got nothing on Curnow (old version)

I fully agree, his stats are fantastic, however he does go missing quite often. This is rather noticeable considering he seems to be one of the main drivers when we are up and about, making it clear when he’s missing in action.

I wonder how long before, they might ask questions if it was a bit before the tackle, like why didn’t he come off etc.

Richmond’s Lefau (forward) who booted three in practice match against Bombers has been suspended for two games re drink driving. One game against us (practice match).

That’s every Thursday night for me.

The only thing I would argue is that Kozzie is very hit and miss. When he’s on, my god is he on. But sometimes he doesn’t turn on at all in a game or only does for a quarter or two. Hopefully this is hit season and he makes his stamp on the game.

@Ghostwriter are you aware how Onley and Matthews went in VFL practice match? Saw on Demons page they both scored, did you get to see them live and can give insight? Also unsure if anyone is aware, we had Ah-Mu playing for us, but I thought we couldn’t touch him. Is that correct or only have no space currently?

Oh gotcha, thanks for that. Do the captains actually get to decide or only give input? I figure the coaches wouldn’t be happy if a captain chose something where numerous got injured.

This will seem like a silly question, but I’ve never known. What’s a captains run? Always heard the term but never bothered to ask or find out. Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure on Jeff still. Not saying he won’t get there but I haven’t seen flashes of brilliance, same with JVR. Haven't seen something where I was able to see that they would be guns one day. Probably liken them to Weiderman at this stage.

How good. Ross Lyon surely licking himself that he lost both Heath and Steele. Hopefully we knock them off.

I think it’s definitely feasible with a few big names brought in. I think we need a good couple of seasons (between 8-12) for players to see us as a club that they could do well at and have fun at. I think this year if we could get to 12/13 that’s a win, and next year between 8-10 would be great. Whether or not those are possible is unknown yet but that’s what I think we need for key players to look at us as destination club.

Will Brody be back for R1 based off protocols?

Guess that’s not the worst. He can always give the ball off to better ball users. As long as he’s strong as a rock I think that’s ok.

My thoughts from watching the highlights; Holy [censored] we kicked more than 60 points. Holy [censored] we kicked more goals than behinds. Latrelle is a gun. Unsure of how he was not picked up until now.. confusing really. Steele is brilliant. Kozzie scary good (more team player as well than his usual) We look fast, and fit. Hopefully that lasts. They look like they’re having fun. Good work Kingy and co. Go Dees.
