I think it’s incredibly difficult to find a coach that was not only a brilliant player, but has the ability to teach the right way to instill what they’re after. I think Jones is probably a little bit too much of a mate to the group and they should go for an outsider who has that distance.

Totally agree with that, Maysie was a huge part of the premiership and success since then. No doubt. I wonder, if he hadn’t have come, and another defends took his spot, with Ben Brown being cooked with his knees, would we have had the same outcome, more success or less without May and having Hogan?

Been that way for 10-15 yrs. We got Hogan and decided to send him on his way. Loads of great players have been given the boot. Insanity.

Wonder if their games are televised on free to air on saturdays?

I think playing him is the best thing for him, along with Jefferson and the others who aren’t quite there yet. A lot of players need 1-3 seasons (50) or so games under their belts before they settle. It gives them much needed experience, builds their tanks, shows exactly what they’re required to do each game, and most importantly learn how long and hard the season is, and what they’re required to build to. To not give him or other young players, even if they’re not up to standard is a horrible choice which hinders their journey.

Neil, you can continue to be positive about the same old team, not working, and losing.. some of us want to see change to hopefully come back up the ladder. Ofc none of us enjoy this. Once there’s a bit of success and we aren’t watching Groundhog Day, then we might be able to enjoy the team again, and won’t be required to rant about how many issues there are that seem to be swept under a rug.

Heard that Goody is being discussed high up the table and it’s do or die…

Was doing some research, and apparently Sam Flanders and Wade Derksen quite available. Derksen more so, as he tried to come to us last year but was knocked back saying he’s “required player” despite this year being in the seconds for 12 weeks.

Judd has put his contract discussions on hold, worrying as he’s had an offer since last year. Either seeking more money/years or other offers. Either way he’s up in the air.

Scary isn’t it, there’s not much going well for the club. Wondering what will change and when, because something has got to give.

Please discuss viable options for a new coach, and probably new coaching staff in general… players clearly aren’t interested.. got the same old crew: ie: Viney and Gawn leading the way with not many other players consistently pushing for wins… where’s the love gone?

Admittedly, Picket usually can. He’s probably just down in confidence like the rest of them. I think that’s two weeks in a row, or at least I’ve seen him belly the ball twice in a span of weeks. Always rushing when he has all the time in the world.

What do we mean by contact hours? Training? Or literally can’t be contacted unless during a set time?
