Devils advocate - would he be saying it if we were at the top again? I’d like to think even he wouldn’t. The plain fact is, there was a clear culture issue, and everyone knew it. Any commentator is going to use that as a story until it’s not an issue any longer. Hopefully this year, culture is significantly better with personnel changes at every level and he finally stops yapping; but really, that’s up to output.

I fully agree that’s their role, and really I don’t care what they say. Not much riles me up, especially Kornes’ opinion. I do think that Daicos is slightly rated higher than he should be, however is a jet. Will be interesting to see how Darcy goes at full health with a full season this year.

Yeh agreed. I’m just saying, you won’t see another Darcy. You give any decent midfielder protection and they’ll tear it up. For example, Butters is essentially the same size and goes ham. I also think it’s significantly harder for forwards. They have no control of where the ball goes and have to make do a lot. Compared to midfields who are the ones as you said that can change games.

In fairness. I’d take Darcy over Daicos. You won’t find another monster like him for probably another decade or more. You’ll find a load of small midfielders.

Might be a good idea if we have a good season. Not sure about releasing prior to the season. If we have a shocking season, Goodwin will laugh and be able to say he wasn’t the issue even though he was a significant part of the issue.

Can you explain how he struggles with the new centre bounce rule? I thought he would do better with it but probably wrong.

Don’t mean this to be a shot at him but it will come across as one. Can he kick more than 35 meters now? I recall when he did play a game for us he couldn’t make 35 meters and probably only made it to the top of the square.

Huge loss. If we get Butters though next year, that’d be awesome. Imagine both of those hot heads in the middle.

Tbf, I don’t think there’s issues with gameplay changes with them out. It doesn’t change what the fill in players are told to do or the others playing. Would be nice to not have so many out though.

Out of curiosity, how far away is AMW? I’m curious how long since his injury until he is full health. Feels like a while.

There was a few times I saw him trying to turn or slow down and he looked off. Makes more sense now. Originally I thought it was age catching up to him and just being a bit slower.

Wouldn’t be a start to the season without him being suspended. Nothing new.
