Whilst there is work to do, I really didn’t think it was horrible. It’s round 1, they have nerves and still are getting used to each other. They also do not have a couple of the lock ins like Bowey. I thought Lever was a liability. I thought CJ did great, certainly has things to work on, but really he offers the exact game style we are after. Look at what he did on the back half, run and gun, long kick to someone on the wing in space, who then passed off to Latrelle who kicked a brilliant goal. I think there was a lot to like in a young and inexperienced backline. Petty who I have hated on significantly did a great job. We just need a large defender for the large forwards.

He was on some sort of show today, heard on radio. Stated starts running in next couple weeks and believes will be back around round 8.

When LSP got caught my Mason Wood 10 meters out and they didn’t call HTB… that was a laugh. Off to OPSM.

Focusing on the backline, I was really impressed by Petty, he for once stood up and seemed to have a really good game. Hope he continues it. Turner and Howes also really solid. I also thought CJ was fantastic, great run and gun and for the most part great ball use.

Really like the guy, speaks well, clearly still going through all the emotions. Their loss is our gain. Hopefully he can play for a few years to come and have fun!

With anything, Baker may not have been managed well by Goodwin and co and wasn’t given the opportunity to be himself. Seems to be a trend. The fact he’s playing in a stronger team than ours displays he had the talent. Same with Bedford, Hogan etc.

I love the fact we have Steele. My comment was in reply to someone mentioning that we were at a loss, and u replied saying only financially. Steele is a huge pick up and I’d prefer him over the current Oliver any day.

It’s not a loss for him. They got him for peanuts. He’s not elite anymore but he plays well enough compared to having in a first year mid. He also provides depth in a time where GWS has heaps of injuries. We are the losers there, as we are paying financially.

I laughed about when Guerra said something on the lines of “getting better sponsors”. Obviously he wouldn’t have meant it as a shot at the current but if only he worded it to “more sponsors”.
