  1. ‘Extraordinary’ ladder reveals extent of AFL injury toll… and which clubs are coping the best
  2. Tom McDonald’s last game for the year … coincided with our fall from premiership favourite to not even getting in the preliminary finals.
  3. The three players coming back into the Melbourne team from injuries this week (Gawn, Hibberd and Lever) are all mature age players. The selectors might have wanted to maintain a balance of youth and experience especially given that sometimes the older players take time getting back to top form.
  4. Kicking efficiency in his performance in this game leaves a lot to be desired - will keep an eye on this when I see him playing in the future.
  5. Corey Wagner will make his debut with the Dockers tomorrow night, 1329 days after he last played for Melbourne.
  6. RDB played 204 games, won 6 flags and captained the club. In that era, he had done enough to go elsewhere to follow the dream of coaching his own team and to make a few dollars for his superannuation. Tom Scully hadn’t achieved a thing before he did his runner.
  7. It’s a pity they’re playing this game in Adelaide and not at the MCG. Would have had a bumper crowd.
  8. Bad luck to Sam Weideman on getting concussion and missing out on playing this week. At least it means he can’t do a Jayden Hunt and star against his old team.
  9. Well that should get Jack Crisp off the front pages.
  10. Does anyone know the nature of Kye Turner‘s injury? I don’t think he was mentioned in the weekly injury report. He would have been handy against his former club.
  11. The article makes a very good point. I watched the game last night and listening to Taylor, I really thought that Collingwood won the game.
  12. You do know that the moderators of the site need to be responsible in the content permitted on the site in view of the laws of libel and defamation?
  13. When was the last time we played West Coast Eagles in Melbourne?
  14. Meanwhile, Casey’s premiership coach Mark Corrigan who now coaches Geelong’s VFL team is under the pump up on the Gold Coast where his Cats are down by 13 goals late in the third quarter.
  15. The circumstances are that we’re badly depleted in the ruck division and Tom McDonald appears to be struggling to hold his place in the team so, irrespective of the long term vision as to who plays where, it would seem sensible to consider some short term solutions to an immediate problem. Moving Harry Petty to KPF, including JvR as the second ruck to Brodie Grundy could be just the trick for this one game due to the circumstances.
  16. Hey … let’s not forget the clubs that are involved in this scenario. Gold Coast and Geelong. Deal’s almost done. Cats to get GC’s first round pick along with King. GC gets Cats future third round pick as steak knives in the deal.
  17. There’s nothing in that article suggesting that Ladhams will not play on Sunday.
  18. The Hawks already have one hand on the #1 draft pick after last week’s disaster. Probably will continue that way throughout the season.
  19. 6. Max Gawn 5. Christian Petracca 4. Kysaiah Pickett 3. Jake Lever 2. Clayton Oliver 1. Trent Rivers
  20. Meanwhile, Casey’s Twitter site still stuck at quarter time in the Richmond game.
  21. Not wanting to put the mozz on anyone but a vacancy can arise if a player is put on a long term injury list. Hoping that we don’t need to go to the mid season draft.
  22. Seems to me that it’s been a strange process this year with the club not showing a great amount of appetite to find someone young who might have just missed out on the drafts in November. Perhaps it was that their hand was forced by selecting Oliver Sestan in the rookie draft?
  23. Where’s Picket Fence?
  24. Today’s Age:- “Zac Williams and Mitch McGovern have impressed.”
  25. Yay. It’s Yea!!!!
