Adam Treloar
There are a number of aspects of this story that are raising red flags in terms of the question of recruiting Adam Treloar - the financial aspect, his physical and mental wellbeing, his family situation and the atmosphere of intrigue surrounding the whole story which is sending out the message that thereâs a lot more to this that meets the eye. So much about this just doesnât add up and any club thatâs not fully informed should steer clear. On top of all that, the situation unfolding at Collingwood with Treloar is turning into an unmitigated disaster for that club. No spin can hide the fact that the Pies have abandoned their war cry of âside by side we stick togetherâ and they have to be concerned about their future, let alone about the precarious position theyâve placed their player in. And where is the AFLPA in all of this?

Brad Crouch
Nominated the Saints so this thread heads off to our main board.

AFL Trade Radio
Daily summary ~ Matt Rendell says the Bombers need to pay up for Josh Dunkley. âWhen you're chasing a bloke that has two years left on their contract, then cough up. Don't stuff around! Cough up" "Ben Brown has chosen Melbourne. The Dees have met with him, done a medical, and he will request the trade" - Sam Edmund Jesse Hogan has officially requested a trade to the Giants. The Dockers will clear him. Geelong a little surprised the Giants matched the Jeremy Cameron offer. The Treloar saga continues. Nathan Buckley responded to Sam Edmund's report that the coach informed Adam Treloar senior players don't want him to return to the club. St Kilda say they won't be trading their first-round pick in any potential trade for Brad Crouch.

Was he banned from Twitter because of that thing way past in his history or something more recent? Asking for a friend.

Apology to members - 1981 version
The highlight of the return game was Demon Graham Gaunt kicking the ball the wrong way which resulted in a Footscray goal. It was the turning point of the game and caused one supporter to blow up in an abusive tired directed at Barassi in the coaches box. High drama.

TMac on the Trade Table?
Naturally - once you decide on a player, itâs all a negotiation.

Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
Is there any indication from a reputable source suggesting we have an interest in Phillips at this stage of the game?

TMac on the Trade Table?
There would be half a dozen teams that would gladly take TMac off our hands. I have no doubt of that. Different story with OMac who I think could be part of a trade or, as his manager suggested, a delisted free agent. There are roles he could fill at the right club.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
I think the late Bluey had a lot more talent and grunt than Oskar has displayed and by the way, he played in 6 premierships. Still, I would be happy to see Oskar do half of that in the coming years.

AFL Trade Radio
Itâs a no brainer here. They should match.

As expected on the first day of the 2020 Free Agency Period saw plenty of activity - * The first completed deal saw Rory Atkins join the Suns as an unrestricted free agent. Atkins will sign a four-year deal with a trigger for a fifth at Gold Coast. The Crows will receive an end of second round pick for Atkins * Hawthorn's triple premiership wingman Isaac Smith will join Geelong as a free agent The Hawks receive Round 3 compensation selection, currently 42. * Carlton lodging the paperwork for the Giants' Zac Williams. The transfer will be finalised within days. * Richmond defender Oleg Markov has requested a trade away from the Tigers to the Suns. * Giants' defender Aidan Corr has officially received an offer to join North Melbourne as a restricted free agent. The 26-year-old will return home to Victoria and sign a deal worth as long as five years. GWS will receive a second-round compensation pick. * Mitch Cleary reports - "A lot of the Ben Brown meeting with Melbourne was centered around Darren Burgess and what he can do for his fitness". Essendon the only other suitor for Brown's signature. * GWS Giants have confirmed Zac Langdon's decision to join West Coast * Sam Edmund advocates that the Giants should take the risk on Jesse Hogan. * Lots happening behind the scenes at Collingwood. There seems to be little hope of reconciliation between Adam Treloar and the Pies while Jaidyn Stephenson looks like playing elsewhere in 2021. * The AFL has received paperwork for Essendonâs Restricted Free Agent Joe Daniher to sign with the Brisbane Lions and is currently processing the details.

Isaac Smith
Iâm grateful to Isaac Smith for moving across to Geelong where Iâm sure that heâll have an impact in 2021 and possibly in 2022. It was that third year of the contract he might have entered into with Melbourne that had me concerned and Smithâs own decision to go with 2 years confirmed that he has his own doubts. That makes it a win/win for all concerned. Expect more big news from the Cats when the results of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety are handed down in February/March next year.

So the real thing starts tomorrow with the start of the free agency period and the question is what will be the first done deal? Past years ~ 2017: Jackson Trengove joins Western Bulldogs (Friday) 2018: Reece Conca joins Fremantle (Friday) 2019: Gold Coastâs offer for RFA Brandon Ellis (Friday) The first trades in those years were ~ 2017: Jake Leverâs move from Adelaide to Melbourne (Thursday) 2018: Lincoln McCarthyâs move from Geelong to Brisbane (Monday) 2019: Tim Kellyâs move from Geelong to West Coast (Wednesday)

AFL Trade Radio
Strangely enough, a lot of AFL Trade Radio over the past few days has been about things other than trades. For instance, the big news seems to be that Essendon's football boss Dan Richardson has been shown the door after three years in the role. There is talk of Allir Allirâs mooted move to Port Adelaide and the Treloar story continues to garner discussion. On Isaac Smith, I wouldnât be devastated if he decided to go to Geelong or remain a Hawk. Heâs 32 years old and you would expect him to have slowed down in the third year of that contract.

"Clayton Oliver doesn't need to have 30 touches a game. He needs to be tough, he needs to score, and he can do that with 20 touches. At the moment Melbourne look like a selfish midfield but they have the potential to be great." - Kane Cornes

AFL Trade Radio
Once again, a lot of talk and speculation today with few highlights. Here are some points that of interest from AFL Trade Radioâs day - * Bombers will find it difficult to get the Dogs talking for Josh Dunkley. Draft picks wonât do it because any picks they can give will get absorbed for Next Generation Academy prospect and prospective number one draft selection Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and a player swap wonât do it either because Essendon doesnât have the players who will make a difference for the Dogs like Josh Dunkley does; * The names Lochie O'Brien and Paddy Dow are part of the Saad trade conversations; * GWS believed to be the likely 2021 destination of Jesse Hogan; and * Richmond will release Jack Higgins and the Saints are said to be the most appropriate suitors.

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
Like to be a fly on the wall when Jesse meets up with Toby Greene.
