  1. I dunno, I reckon you’d be pushing to find a bigger Port nuffie than Cornes.
  2. 100% we can. Fans are the only ones hanging onto the negatives, and fair enough, too. But as far as the club, players and coaches go, it’s dead and buried. Ok so the same stirrings might occur at the end of this season but that’s not gonna change the current mood, aspirations, belief, hunger, whatever else, of this season.
  3. It was lovely seeing you there and not just because you brought delish cake you’d made 😅 I wish you still lived in Melb.
  4. Last season we didn’t get the chance to be excited even before round one. Playing Sydney in Sydney was a terrible way to start the season. I wasn’t surprised we lost. Not to mention having to fork out for flights and accommodation, and our cheer squad had to sit in the corner pocket because Sydney members sit behind the away goals. Plus the majority of Dees supporters couldn’t attend. And it made me so angry that the AFL scheduled it this way to hype up the Grundy vs Gawn thing. A loss in the first game played is huge. Thank goodness we’re not part of the ridiculous Opening Round this year.
  5. I understand your reasoning but footy every day of the week would suck. I think we need at least four footy-free days between rounds because in that time you can process the round that’s just finished and preview the next round.
  6. Bring back the đŸ€” emoji. STAT!
  7. Yes, but there’s change afoot. I recently met our new media guy, Matt. He’s aware of the importance of connecting with fans via the socials and it’s already showing.
  8. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this was silly. He’s not the brightest, is he. He usually only rears his greedy head when players’ pay is in question so I’m surprised he’s brought up an issue other than that. And don’t get me started on his grammar and punctuation; his first tweet contains only 21 words, yet there’s no less than five errors. I’m too scared to read his follow-up tweet 😅 Replacing him as the AFLPA head is long overdue.
  9. Not a review of Shano, but giving credit where it’s due
There’s a group of regular track-watchers who meet up at Gosch’s where we watch from our usual spot at the boundary fence. Yesterday, without warning, one of our group fainted. (Incidentally, If you’re gonna faint in public there’s not many better places than at training: Jacob, the Club doctor, was absolutely wonderful.) Anyways, just after it happened Shane ran to the boundary. He asked me about it and he was genuinely concerned. He said he hopes she’s ok and that it’s lucky Jacob was there. Then about half an hour later he came over again to get an update and was pleased to hear she was gonna be fine. This isn’t a testament to his footy prowess but it certainly is to his character. 10. For mine, what’s as telling as the things you mention above is the fact that Luker wasn’t in the 2025 official team photo which was taken yesterday. He was the only one absent. It’s undeniable that that’s huge. IN MY HUMBLE FLIPPIN’ OPINION.
  11.
. Or someone else will.
  12. I’ll see your last two minutes of Blues vs Saints and raise you the last two minutes of Blues vs Dees
Round 22, 2022 Nothing to do with Harves but does that matter? It’s a thing of beauty and we don’t need a reason to watch it â€ïžđŸ’™
  13. Gussy was the resident creator of nicknames. Yet another of the many ways in which we miss him đŸ˜„
  14. i sincerely hope not. He deserves his own nickname, not one that’s based on a comparison to another player. Besides, he’ll be a 10x better player than Reid. 😁
  15. I don’t disagree. I was having a little dig at Demonland which is something that’s done very often, and with no malice.
  16. Unfortunately, not gonna happen. It seems once a nickname is bestowed, it’s set in stone. Harves will just have to suffice.
  17. Any of the above could happen and your guess is as good as mine or anyone else’s. I’m just happy that Luker isn’t a high profile player because the media would go to town on this and we all know how that usually pans out 🙄 In either of your suggested scenarios, he needs support and care and you’d like to think he’s receiving this.
  18. Let’s not speculate??? Demonland is built on speculation! 😂
  19. Slartibartfast didn’t “jump to conclusions” he started his comment with “idle speculation” and when you do that, everything following is exactly that
idle speculation. Besides, in terms of “jumping to conclusions” how is saying Luker is possibly at home in WA for personal reasons any different to saying Luker is possibly no longer on our list? That’s either two cases of jumping to conclusions
or it’s zero cases of that.
  20. Who has done this?
  21. That’s always a possibility as it is with any player but it’s been for a while now. I chat to Kolt a fair bit and oftentimes he talks about him and Luker living at Geoff Porz’s (how it’s working out etc.) but Kolt hasn’t mentioned anything about Luker for quite a while now, and there’s no way I’d ask him why that’s so. I just sincerely hope Luker’s ok. He’s just a kid really.
  22. He definitely wasn’t there today and hasn’t been since before Xmas.
  23. Sadly I think this is the case. He hasn’t been to training in ages and he wasn’t included in the team photo. He wasn’t at the players’ lunch which was after training and before the photo shoot. Roy was at the lunch and while not in the team photo he was there while the photos were being taken.
  24. Luker wasn’t at training, nor was he in the team photo. Andy was at training though. He walked over from the rooms with Koz.
  25. Yeah it’s at Casey but as usual it’s a “closed” session.
